Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

The school I was 'wait listed' for is $30k for my ASN.

The school that accepted me is @ $18k for my ASN.

My first choice (who I have no heard from yet) is at the local community college that I've attended for the last 2 years and it will run me somewhere around $10k max! I'm SO hoping to get in here.

The other 2 schools I could care less about. i think one is around $11k for an ASN and the other is in the mid 20's.

I'm done with all of my pre-reqs (all of which I've paid with cash as I've gone) so all I have left is nursing school. Ours (ADN program) lists a total of $5000.00 which includes graduation fees. Not too shabby!

ASN - around $23,000 total

5000.00 for C. College for pre-reqs and GE's needed to complete my freshman year at the university I am accepted to. About 50K for the BSN, these prices don't include books.

$7,000 for an ADN. That's everything (books, uniforms, fees, tuition, HESI, NCLEX). It's a bargain! :specs: Am paying cash for all (working part-time during school) so will leave with a degree and no loans.

The tuition for my 16-month accelerated BSN will be about $40,000, plus I'll probably need another $20,000 to cover living expenses. Not much choice in the matter, unless I want to wait 3 years for the ADN program at my local CC.

I am taking my gen ed at cc to save money on private direct entry programs. It will also be great because I will have less of a load when it comes to the two year program. The coat about 25,000 for the nursing classes

Mine will cost about $15,000 in tuition only for my BSN. I am taking most of my prerequisite classes at a community college and then one prereq and all the nursing courses at the University where I live. I think that's pretty darn reasonable for a BSN! I went this way because I pay for my school out of pocket (no loans or scholarships as of yet and I've been in school for a few years now).

Mine will be $23,000 for my program. I will be signing for tuition reimbursement that pays the money back in 3 yrs though. It's a well-known facility (Duke University), and have friends that like working there.

Mine will technically cost around $7000 but my job is paying for half of it (thankfully!). I already have a ton of loans from my first bachelors and masters so I am very happy about the low out of pocket cost for the BSN program that I chose.

Most of my pre-reqs have been covered by grants, and hopefully most of nursing school will be too. Nursing school will probably end up costing me somewhere around 5k with books. I do however plan on taking out 12-15k in loans over the two years to pay living expenses. Can't stay living with the parents too much longer or I'll end up going even more crazy than I am.

I am going back for a second bachelors degree then continuing on for my Masters in Anesthesia....The bachelors portion is 12 months and the total cost of attendance for everything including living books etc...since I can not work will be $87,000. They give a 20K scholarship but the rest I am paying for with loans. The Masters portion will probably total about the same so in the end I will be well over $160,000 in debt not including the debt from my first undergraduate degree! Don't you just love the cost of college these days!
