Thanks for starting the thread. I just got my books and after being thoroughly confused at the bookstore, I think I'm close to ready for classes. What drives me crazy is the number of sections there are and how every single one has a different set of required books/handouts. The plus is I got my books used, but the minus is that they were still expensive.

I am completely nervous and can't get my texts until monday- they were unavailable before the x-mas break :( This will be my first time in a classroom in 12 years!! I've had the class before but didn't want to go on to II without refreshing.

What texts are you using?? We're using Marieb 6th edition. I've searched online but really found nothing much cheaper than the used ones at the bookstore. (used=$100, new=$135, not including study guide, dissection manual, lab manual) I can't wait til monday--I reallywant to start reading before the 18th!

good luck to everyone!

Luckily, I have my books, and have started looking over them as well. They are expensive, but there is one good thing about it.....they can be used for A&P II as well!!!

I also have the Marieb 6th edition. I traded in my Psychology books and purchased the study guide also.

I've taken this class 12 years ago too, but made a C in it. :crying2:

I am taking A&P I by itself, because I HAVE TO make an A!! So, I am quizzing myself already hoping to at least know what the instructor is talking about! :)

Look at the bright side, we'll have A&P I out of the way, and then get to enjoy warm weather to celebrate. :rotfl: My class ends May 12th.

How weird!! I took it in the spring of 1993! (made a B, but don't want to rely on it to go on to II) EEK that feels forever ago. It is my only class also. An A would be great :) You're right about the $$$. I guess it's not too bad since we use it for both classes. I just hope they have a used one left--without too much highlighting and stuff. I like to do that myself.

I'll let ya know how the book shopping goes Monday.

Have a very Happy New Year!

Good luck in your class!!

Thanks for starting this thread, I was going to do it tonight but ya beat me to it LOL. At least its going now. I have no idea what books I am using, I havent been back to the school since last semester ended. I am planning on going up there Monday though so I will find out then. I am hoping we are using the Mariebs but if not I hope its a good one LOL. I have a few websites to add too, I will add them to this message as I gather them. I am taking A&P1 and Microbiology so it should be fun. I have heard that my micro professor is super good and really easy so keep your fingers crossed for me LOL. I am so excited to start this semester, I love anatomy and just cant wait to dive in. I hope we can help each other out with this thread. I start January 18th.

Hi,

We are using "Anatomy and Physiology" by Seeley, Stephens and Tate. I have found that Ebay and Amazon.com are my best friends. I got all three of my books for the price of one. The books are not new and not in perfect condition but that is not what is important to me. :p I just need to be able to read and understand!!!

Good luck to all, Happy New Year. GO STEELERS!!!!

I start on Monday!!!

Semester 2 out of 12

Yep,

Not much of a holiday break huh? It has helped me from getting out of the study habits though. No time to be lazy.
