Okay, its our turn!

I will be starting pre/co-reqs this fall, for the ADN program I hope to get into fall of 06

I'm taking a/p I and intro to psych both starting the week of Sept 6th. I've found my required books for psych, but the bookstore is draggin their feet on the a/p books. I believe from looking at other campus's of the same school I know what it is...but am waiting!

Anyone else starting this fall fresh and new?

Fresh, new, scrubbed clean here!! I agree re the bookstore .. ours is really slow too .... Tom checked last week and the A&P wasn't going to be in for another 3 weeks ... but he didn't check on the other ones I need.

I'm taking Human Growth and Development, Nutrition and A&P in the fall! Can't wait!

Hello, I will also being starting this fall. I will be taking Biological Science, English Comp I (online) and possibly Sociology. There are 3 semesters before the Nursing Program for 06 starts. There are only two other courses I need before the program starts, Chemistry and CIS. I can't apply for the 06 program until May of 05. It is bases on a point system. I also have to take the ACT in October, so I have been reviewing!! You can earn alot of points at our school for testing high on the ACT. I have earned all the points I can for GPA, In district, credit hours taken, so I am hoping that if I score high on the ACT I will make it into the program.

I have a couple more pre/co reqs as well, and will be splitting them up over the spring/summer semester.

I have the take an accuplacer on the 28th to place me into the math and english elective.

We also do the NLN exam here for admittance into the ADN program, that is scheduled for December.

My spring semester- I think looks like this

a/p II

Micro

English Elective

Summer 06 I think will look like this

College Comp

Math Elective

Humanities/LA/World Language (probably will take Spanish I)

Then its right into the nursing program, with only 1 other pre/co req left, which can not be completed until the 1st semester of ADN is done.

Hey there Brandy! :) Good luck in your upcoming ventures.. :) Just my two cents..A&PII and Micro in the same semester may be slightly overwhelming! That's going to be a whooooooooooole lot of lab time! I took O-chem and A&PI together with two electives while working and balancing family life and nearly went insane! Maybe you could split the two of them up, and take one in the summer?

Just a suggestion. :)

My thought on this- I'd rather have an entire semester with them together, than try to complete micro in a summer 8 week session. taking it by itself, in the summer would require twice as much "weekly" work as taking it with a/p in the spring. I would prefer to leave the "easier" classes for the cram of summer sessions.

Maybe I'm wrong- who knows!

My thought on this- I'd rather have an entire semester with them together, than try to complete micro in a summer 8 week session. taking it by itself, in the summer would require twice as much "weekly" work as taking it with a/p in the spring. I would prefer to leave the "easier" classes for the cram of summer sessions.

I thought the same thing, but decided against it. My college offers a 10week A&PII summer class, that's what I took. We only meet twice a week, 6-10pm, but got out much earlier. It's a little fast paced at times, but it's not bad at all!

Me too! I am going to start this fall taking one class per term as I have a part time job, a husband and an autistic 7 1/2 year old son that take up most of my time. :)

I have 7 classes on my list of prereq's: A&P 1 2 3, micro, pathophisiology, pharm and nutrition (taking that online). So I'll be here a good 2 years just plugging my way thru prereq's... :p

I'm starting this fall too, Aug 18th to be exact, at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

I'll be taking Math, English, Intro to healthcare, Med Term 1, and Human Bio this semester (...and working, my life as I know it is about to change)

I hope to get into the ASN program in the fall of 2007.

hey fellow newbies,

I started my pre-req's this summer but I still have a few to go and this fall i will be taking mirco, gen psych & ethics...if i can fit them into my work schedule..but i will at least be doing 2 classes ...spring A&PI ...summer A&PII...hopefully nursing school next fall/spring:rolleyes:
