Well I had my first test last Thursday, and we found at the results today...There were 4A's, 4B's 6C's and the rest didn't do so hot. I'm so thankful to say that I was one of the A's.... YEAH!!! :balloons:

we have our next test in about 2 weeks I think....but we have a quiz alomst every class period. So it's all going good...just lots to study...good luck to everyone !!!!!

Ole

My first test is Monday over the first 4 chapters. We have only finished 2 so far so I guess we will go over the other two next class (we only have class Mon & Wed).

Has anyone had a test yet? I feel very nervous. This class is quick. I feel like I am treading water. Well better get back to making flashcards. I already had to open 2 packs.

We had our first quiz last night, over anatomical language and the microscope. Needless to say, I over-studied for it and did very well. We have a test over Chapters 4 and 5 next week (histology and integumentary)...definitely not expecting it to be as easy as the quiz. :uhoh3: I can't seem to remember where all the tissues reside to save my life.

Anyone else using Marieb?

Lauren

I'm also using Martini. I have my first lecture exam tomorrow and my first lab exam next Friday. Of course, I'll be out of town this weekend. YIKES!!

Someone told me this first exam will be the easiest exam. Our school is on a 6 point scale which makes it more difficult to get a good grade. Anyhow, I'll let you know how I do.

I didn't do so well on my first test. I got an 85 and should be happy since the class average was 64, but I'm really dissapointed. My lab test is in 2 days. No breaks in this class.

My communications class is really suffering. Thank goodness we haven't had an exam in it yet.

It's not unusual to have lower grades on the first test in A&P than you anticipated. It's a hard class!!!!! It started out like that for me but as time went on my grades got better and I ended up getting an A in the end. Hang in there, study hard!

Hey don't feel bad. I got a 24 on my first lab quiz, it was on anatomical terms and microscope parts, and I knew the stuff like the back of my hand from taking human bio and med term last semester. My mind went completely blank and I couldn't answer the questions, plus I was expecting a word bank but everything was fill in the blank instead. So far all of our quizzes have been fill in the blank. Today I will find out my grade on last weeks quiz, I think that I did good on it, we had to label a skin diagram, answer some fill in the blank questions, and we were also tested on some slides. We had to look in the microscope and find the best example of whatever cells/tissues happened to be there. I do know that I got the full amount of points for that part. Yeah!

Well, speaking of A&P, I've gotta get up and get moving. I have lecture and lab today. Gotta take a quiz on slides and bones.

Thanks all for the encouragement. I feel better because the instuctor went over the exam today. We had 40 people out of 71 that got an 'F'. That 85 looks a lot better than before. My lab exam on Friday will be on Epithelial, Connective, Muscle and Nervous tissue. We'll also have to identify all of the Appendicular skeleton and all of the markings. Last but not least, the parts of the microscope. And by the way, NO WORD BANK.

I'm going to bed, I'm so very tired.

Tonight was my first quiz. She graded them already and I got a "B". You know what.....I'll take it. I just have to work a little harder for my test on Monday.

I have heard that once you get past the first four chapters it gets alot easier, that understanding the cells, ATP, ect. is the hardest part. Let's hope so! If it gets much harder I might not make it. I also hear A & P 2 is easier. Maybe I'm being lied to but I think I will just hold on to that thought for now.

I'm off to bed.....:)

Hi all!

I am new- so good to meet all of you! I have A&P this semester. I really like it so far, its hard and kind of stressful though. First test is Friday-- wish me luck! I have lab in the morning as well. We are studying bones. It is so amazing!

Good to meet you all again

Clover:)

i find the stuff we are doing now to be so boring and difficult! atp, epithelium, diffussion. i have my lab test next friday and am so scared. identifying the different epitheliums and what their functions are and where they're found? :crying2: it's too much!! gotta go study!

congrats to all who like they're class. right now, i just find it stressful! :o

It is definately stressful! We have so much to remember for our bones lab practical. It is going to be hard, but it is really now. Our lecture is boring though b/c it is the same basics that I had in h.s. and other college bio classes. I think it will get much better when we start on the different systems. Test is tomorrow-- wish me luck! And good luck to everyone else studying for ther tests!

Hugs

i'm afraid i agree with you. boring and stressful. lots of memorization of stuff that we will never use in nursing. oh well. gotta do it, right. only 13 more weeks of this semester !

How are the flash cards working out? I spent all day yesterday making flash cards for Chapters 1-3 of the Marieb book. Is there any special trick to them that will help me remember more?

I too had an exam today, Chapters 1-3. I don't know what I've made on it yet, but I'm anxious to see.
