We are on Chapter 3 in Marieb, The Cell, I hate it, it is soooooo boring. I took a quiz tonight and totally blew it, I didn't have time to study for it because me and my husband argued all weekend than he took off to a superbowl party and left me with his mother and the kids I had NO piece and quit, and if he don't start helping me I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm so mad at myself because so far my grades are good
Quiz 1-----100
Test 1-----100
Test 2-----83
Quiz 2----?
Test 3----Monday
Anything to do for self centered, smartass husbands that does nothing except work, sleep during the week and drink and watch ball games on the weekends?
So far, I love A&P. What is boring to most of the other students, I am really into. I pretty much have all the bones cracked, lol. Hopefully I will do well on my first test next Monday 2/13. A few of them havent even started studying yet and this test is going to be over 4 chapters. I dont know how they are going to pass this test. I am taping lectures, and listening to them over and over, reading my chapters and copying my notes and outlines. I am doing everything I can think of to pass this class and hopefully make that A. This class is keeping me busy!!!

We never have quizzes, just exams. You're doing great. Don't let anyone get in the way of your goals. I'm now single and the only way I can concentrate on studying is if I leave the house. Three of us have created a study group, even though sometimes I think we waste to much time. It does help discipline me because I know I have to meet them at a particular time. The days we don't have class we meet at Barnes and Noble's where it is set up to study. Plus, it allows me to get Cheese Cake Factory desserts. On days we have class, we go to school early to meet about 1 1/2 hours.
Anyway, what I'm saying is try and make some type of arrangements/schedule so you can get out of the house to study. To many distractions at home.
How is everyone handling the skull? The models at school are pretty crappy, though the illustrations in our text are fairly good. I just don't know if flashcards are going to cut it for this stuff. I'm doing great in the class so far, but I feel like this might be my slipperly slope...

Well, we did the rat dissection last week. Our first test was a combination on the dissection and lecture - I did great on the lecture, but everybody at my lab table missed the same 6 on our dissection questions. The reason is that the rat we dissected was VERY pregnant, and the rats whose organs we identified on the test were male. DUH! Their little innards were just a wee bit different! Oh, well, I still did well, but you'd think our instructor would have cut us some slack due to gender differences!
How's everybody else doing? I also took my first Pharmacology test and got a 94, so I was doing the happy dance!
I'm right there with you! The bone lab is kind of like a second home now... I'm with you on the dreaming as well. When did a condylar process become such a pleasant dream?:chuckleClover:)
LOL! I did have a nightmare the other night about taking a test - as soon as I wrote my answer, it would disappear like disappearing ink! I spent the whole time rewriting answers while everybody else around me was having no problems! Whew!

All these A&P dreams are getting a bit odd now, aren't they......:chuckle
