Practice Teas Test

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello, I was wondering if anyone that didn't do so great on the online practice test (teas) did a lot better on the real thing?

I send you email
Hi virginia2009, I am awaiting your reply Thanks.anxious to here from you.Greatful1

I am sorry to say this but as posted in other threads, giving questions and answers is CHEATING. If you can not pass without cheating then you might want to cosider another profession. The purpose of the TEAS is to weed out the people who wont be able to cut it in nursing school. No offense meant to anyone who dosent pass, trust me I get it. Please just study the ATI study guide and do the online practice test, dont try to find shortcuts. YOU CAN PASS IF YOU STUDY.

I've said it before as well, and I'm sickened by the number of people seemingly looking for handouts on here. PM me this, PM me that. The ATI study guide is all you really need. It may be a bit lacking on the Science portion, but it's not difficult stuff that can't be figured out with a little deductive reasoning. I firmly believe that anyone should be able to get into the 80's if they study the guide and understand it reasonable well. I can say this because I've both studied the guide and I've taken the test. I know what is involved and I know what has to be done. Practice makes perfect and cheating gets you no where. If you have general questions on formulas or body systems, ask them! There are a lot of smart people on these forums who are more than willing to share knowledge, myself included. Good luck to anyone taking the TEAS, and don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand something. :)

@teresa.....whatever the rest of the name is..

What's going on here is not called cheating, because the questions are going to be different each time you take the test. They are not the same, they're only similar concepts. Please, look up the meaning of "cheating" before accusing anyone of anything.

People just want to know how to arrive at the right answer to a question that was given on a certain day. Jeez. There's nothing wrong with that. Absolutely not.

However, there is one thing i'm against about the posting or PMS'ing, oops, i mean PM'ing answers. It's that this forum is specifically for knowing if the practice questions are going to be of the same difficulty as the actual test. So, if anyone has any specific TEAS questions, like a certain math problem, science or even english/reading, bring it elsewhere, not here on allnurses.com. Myself, and other hope-to-be nursing students are more interested in Nursing topics.

To answer the first post - the test is like the ati book in your local store. Do yourself a favor and don't rely on the online practice questions. Buy the book instead and pace yourself with those questions. You'll do much better, THAT is what I'm sure of.

reproducing standardized test questions, such as those on the teas test, is a copyright infringement and is not permitted on this site as it is a form of cheating and is illegal.

Please tnbutterfly,

Do feel free to explain what "reproducing" means, as a few of us haven't quite figured that out, yet.

There's a question in this forum that should've been removed (page 7 or 8), therefore, it seems like it is permitted.

I do understand that it is illegal to post up questions off the test. But since that's the case, then some of these posts in this forum need not be shown to us at all. Why are these posts with these exam questions even showing up in the first place?

Do understand that I am not trying to be offensive in any way. It isn't my intent to do that to anyone on this site. I do wish that rules were followed and enforced everywhere by everyone. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way.

I believe most of the members here understand what it means, but for those who don't, reproducing in this instance means posting questions from the test. It is permissible to post general topics, but not test questions or specific content.

Granted some choose to ignore not only this but other parts of the Terms of Service of this site. All members agree to abide by the Terms of Service upon registration. Staff will remind members who "forget" the Terms of Service.

This is a large site with thousands of posts daily. Terms of service posts do slip by since we are a volunteer staff that moderate this huge site. It is impossible for us to review all messages. thank you sooooooooo much for your help:)

If the ATI study guide doesn't help for studying much on the science part, what is recommended to use for the science part to study by? ( I have been out of school 20 yrs!!!)

perhaps you can go to the library and search for life science textbooks.

It is possible to self teach yourself life science instead of going to a college to do it - but it is advisable to get the knowledge by attending class because you can learn the material as a structure better.

there are so many great sources on the internet that can help you in each of the science areas. I googled alot of things I didnt know. I ALSO USED YOUTUBE!! they have great tutuorials which are good for people who rather not read and learn better from hearing it discussed. BE RESOURCEFUL
