  1. I will be starting my first job as a CNA II at a hospital on the Med/Surg floor working three 12 hour shifts! I can't wait!!!

[color=deepskyblue]hey y'all!! i am in nc and am a new cna ii. i just got my very first hospital job on a med/surg floor, working three days a week 7a-7p. i am now searching for a good pair of shoes as well as a good bag or tote to take my things i will need as well as an extra pair of clothes. any suggestions? i have a pair of dansko shoes but even in clinicals my feet and back began to hurt and ache after wearing them. also, if you carry a bag to work, what's in your bag?
  3. I am having the SAME problem! I will complete my CNA II here in NC in about one month. I am currently certified as a CNA I and on the registry with NC. I have sent over 30 applications with not ONE interview! I feel your frustration!!!!

  6. Please don't give up. I am entering for my third time due to unfortunate circumstances and this time there is NO stopping me! I am also almost 40 yrs old with 2 teenage children and a great hubby. Like you mentioned maybe part time is better for you, but if that is what it takes, THEN DO IT!!!!
  7. Are there any recommendations for study guides for the science part for those of us that have been out high school for 20 yrs?
  8. If the ATI study guide doesn't help for studying much on the science part, what is recommended to use for the science part to study by? ( I have been out of school 20 yrs!!!)

  11. It can be done as I have all of my prereq's behind me. Discipline was the key for me!
  12. WOW! I have been an 86.5% is good. Hope I can get at least that when I take it.
