Practice Teas Test

Hello, I was wondering if anyone that didn't do so great on the online practice test (teas) did a lot better on the real thing?

Has anyone taken the test lately and can give advice?

Let's just say I got a 67% on the online practice test, studied my ATI book for about a week and received an 86% on the real thing.

So you would say that the study manual is the one to get over the online practice test? I take my test dec 14th so I need sum advice and quick so i can purchase sumthin to help me out

where are you taking your teas? I took it twice and remember many questions.

I'm taking it at saint paul college

oh, is that in MN? I am in CA. I probably won't help you that much since for sure it's going to be different tests. Those who took it in even different cities through CA, but in CA state universities had the same tests. But for sure you should buy a book. you won't get the same questions from the sample tests, but format will be the same. How many times can you take it. In my school it used to be unlimited, but starting now we only can take it 3 times in the 5 years. I did much better on my second time, plus after my first time I did a research on all quesitons I could remember and it saved me. There were only 5 A&P questions, 3 chemistry, about 3 on physics, 3 earth biology and so on. I can be more specific, but not sure if it will help. Any way good luck. If you can do it twice, then it make a big difference.

ok thank you so much i will def get the book but yea we can only take it twice so im gonna have to really study for it so i do good on the 1st time thank you for your help though

Try to find somebody who will take test on the same day. After the test sit together and try to remember qeustions, write it down, then do research on it, then meet again before the next one, go over those questions and you will do better, but defenetely work as a team (I don't mean on the test), but after. You will remember some questions and another person different ones, but together you will do better. It is not cheeting in any way, but different kind of preparation that really does work, I know it from my experience. Hope it helps.

Hi SacState 2010,

I came upon your post at the perfect time! I'm set to take the TEAS Oct 23, 2009, got an 84 without studying on the online practice one, and have been passively (mostly procrastinating) studying. I bought the study guide but have read that the science section throws some people. Questions about rocks, really?! I don't know. I'm actually very nervous. I think that it will be way different knowing that it's timed. What sections were most representational from the study guide? I think I'm pretty good in Reading and English, but I'm worried for math (mostly because of the time limit) and science because I just don't know what they will ask. WHen did you take it? I'm taking at Rio Hondo College in Whittier, Ca. Any specific advice would be helpful! Thanks!! :)

Hi, dear. Here is what happened over this weekend. On Friday I typed such a long message with everything I know about the TEAS, but when I press "submit", it didn't go through. I though that something wrong went with my computer. On Saturday, I typed again a long review about the test and same happened the second time, so I just gave up. Maybe the forum doesn't allow to do it or I have no idea what had happened. So now I'll be short.

Study %. I remember so much, but...

Make sure you know how to spell

The math portion from the study guide was really close to the actual test. Science - not at all.

Good luck!!!!

Hi sacstate, seems like we had the same test. I will have to retake it again. Had an 86.2% on the real thing. I thought the book helped quite a bit for the maths and eng. The science is a different story--it's all over the place. Though, the online practice was close. Got questions for the science part. Never had a physics class. Do you think energy or force is related? Got more q's. Please send me a pm. Could really use some help! Thanks;)
