Hello All!

I'm new to this group so I'm hoping this forum would be the right place to start instead of posting a new question by starting a new thread. I am currently located in Phila, PA (Philly) and just recently obtained my bachelor's degree in nursing in May. I am looking for my first RN job and I am wondering how long it may be before I land my first job. My situation may be a bit different than others so I'm not sure if the situation itself plays a big role in my not having a job still even though I am a bachelor's degree nurse.

My situation: Before the career change, I've worked for the bank for about 12+ years...have an associates degree in accounting. I decided to go back to school to become an RN (as that was the original plan after high school until things happened). After going to a two yr. college for nursing (2011- May 2013), I passed the NCLEX and enrolled in an RN-BSN program at a 4 yr. college right after. I only had to go for a yr. because I was a full-time student who had already passed NCLEX. Due to several issues, I wasn't able to work as an RN (since July 2013) as a full-time student so I decided to hold off on looking for a job until after earning a BSN degree. I graduated in May 2014 and now I'm looking for work. I have been looking for work since April 2014 and I still have no job as a BSN degree nurse with no experience. Is it safe to say that I would at least have a job by Oct. 2014?
