Hello all, I am curious to see what the current pay rate is across the country so we can better prepare ourselves and negotiate better salaries! Please try to keep this poll to any graduates after 2010. Thanks!

Here's mine:

NJ

$26/hr new grad, no exp., recently changed jobs $33/hr 1 yr exp.

Only 1 year old RN :saint:

Nephrology/dialysis

Ohio RN BSN

24.01 (+5.50 for nights, so $29.51 for me with an additional 2.75 for every 3rd weekend)

No experience, but additional Bachelors degree in nurition

12 bed Chest pain/tele obs unit

1) TX

2) 23.50/hr base, +11 (3am+ on-call), +3 (weekends)

3) New Grad BSN

Some of these are so low! I am used to the higher salaries of my state :( If I relocate I am going to be so sad :( At least cost of living is lower...

GA

$23/hr, $3.59 nights, $5.20 weekends

Burns ICU

Specializes in LTC, Rural, OB.

MT

$25/hr, $2 nights, $1 weekends, $4 call in pay

new grad, no exp

LTC first month, switching to acute care in same facility

21/hr for the first 6mo then 24/hr

I don't have any nursing experience.

My floor is Med Onc/Peds/overflow Med Surge

Specializes in Hospice + Palliative.

1) PA (philly 'burbs)

2) $30/hr (pool, so no benefits/differential - but the ft folks get them; $2/hr NOC, $2/hr weekends)

3) brand spanking new RN (ADN) just graduated in May, started working last week :)

4) SNF/geriatrics

The average rent in my area is $500 for a single family home with a nice sized yard.

That is so so so cheap

A single family home in my area is $2,500 a month.

i wouldn't want to raise a family on a new grad nurse salary here. I am waiting until I make $100k a year before I even think about having kids. That is, if I stay here, and assuming my husband makes money too.
