1. how many questions did you take on nclex? 75

2. what study materials did you use? did you take a test review course? i didn't use a course. i had a lot of review materials but i ended up using saunders comprehensive review and cd exclusively. i read suzanne's first tip about the nclex review and wanted to follow it. unfortunately, i only had 5 days to prepare.

3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? hesi for every specialty then a comprehensive final hesi which you had to pass to graduate.

4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? 48 hours. got them this morning - i passed! ;)

5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? total disbelief. it was so hard. there were so many "select all that apply" it was bordering on ridiculous. drugs i'd never heard of before with no clues in the question stem of what it treated...etc. like i said, ridiculously hard.

6. was this your first attempt at nclex? yep. i passed. now, i need a job.

3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? ati (totally useless, but is a requirement that we must pass the test in order to graduate from son. it was scary!!!)

4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? 3 days (in maryland)

5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? certainty i had failed. i was totally prepared myself to take 90 to 100 questions. a lot --a lot--select all questions, like 10 or 15 questions! no kidding. i didn't get any med math. and a lot of pysch questions, and questions on the drugs that i have never heard of before. but at the end i passed! phew!

6. was this your first attempt at nclex? yes.

 I took the nclex pn exam on march 19th. This is my second time. I'm not quite sure what to think? Here in california you have to wait for the mail.. Atleast that is what i understood from reading several posts on this web site. The exam shut off around 150 and I had about 10 meds. The rest was a combination of lots of things.. I managed to remember about 5 of the questions and 3 I Answered wrong and 2 of them right, I am so stressed out? The pass 3 wks has been torture!! Anyone with me! I sure hope I pass this time I put so much effort into this. My Heart is so set on becoming a nurse.. Eventually I'd love to become an Rn.. Keep me in your prayers!! Thank You!

Thanks, I can use all the help I can get on this. I am scared to death that I even went to the doctor to get some Ativan. Believe that!!!! So any info that anyone can give me will help me. I will spend thousands just to pass!!! Sometimes I think my head is spinning!!

For those of us who have already taken boards, please answer a few questions that might help ease the minds of those who are still waiting to test or for results. I know reading as much as possible about other people's experience helped me feel a little bit better while I waited.

hi all, I took the Nclex PN in NY and I passed .

I had 85 questions

I used every study material especially Saunders and i took a review course

I took ATI and it said i had an 85% chance to pass the Nclex

I took it on 4/10 i knew results 4/12

My thoughts coming out of the exam was that was not too bad. Then the further i got from test center the more i doubted myself. Days felt longer started to panic

This was my first try

And thanks to the lord I passed.

1. I had 85 questions

2. springhouse nclex review cards and chicago review book with 100 question disk, HESI

3. No

4. 48 long, torturous, nerve racking hours (more like an eternity)

5. Total shock, lost, I totally bombed it, I know they were laughing when they came up with those questions, I had mixed emotions
