For those of us who have already taken boards, please answer a few questions that might help ease the minds of those who are still waiting to test or for results. I know reading as much as possible about other people's experience helped me feel a little bit better while I waited.

1. How many questions did you take on NCLEX?

2. What study materials did you use? Did you take a test review course?

3. Did your SON offer any testing (ERI, ATI, HESI)?

4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting?

5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)?

6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX?

saunders compre and q&a, kaplan trainer, urc (quadalupe, philippines) , i really would recommend them

4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting?

took it march 7, 2007, got results today (after three weeks) through mail

5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)?

i came out the center asking myself if i did answer the questions correctly, a lot of prioritizations were asked, i had this 50/50 feeling, prayers really helped me a lot........icon12.gif

1. I took 120 questions

2. I used lipincot 2005 editio Question and answer, plus few Saunders Q and A

2. what study materials did you use? did you take a test review course? i relied mainly on saunder's 3rd ed. and i did a couple of the comprehensive tests in the lippincott.

3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? ati.

4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? 2 business days - took it on friday and got the results tuesday at 4am via ca brn website.

5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? stunned... then convinced i had failed... then thought maybe i passed since i did well on the ati tests and all the practice tests... then convinced i had failed b/c this test was totally unlike the practice tests.

6. was this your first attempt at nclex? yes and thank goodness it will be my last!

Saunders comprehensive Book and Saunders Q&A plus the Saunders CD :)

I registered in CA and I got my results after 3 weeks thru mail. :)

5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)?

I was actually Smiling the moment I came out of the testing Center in HK because I knew I Passed. I was fortunate because everything that I have studied CAME OUT; well, except for some questions like the West Nile Virus and some drugs I haven't heard of. but other than that, It was a good experience. :)

Kaplan and Saunders comprehensive review for RN, no review.

no

4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting?

The longest 48hrs. I took the exam on Tue at 2pm and Thursday morning my best friend called to tell me I had passed. I am in california guess I am lucky it was only 48hrs and not more.

5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? I felt that I had failed miserably and I would be repeating in 60 days. there were many medication questions and prioritizing and who would the nurse see first. and two math question (mcg/Kg/day, Iv/min.) and did I say medication questions.

6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX?

Yep and last, I PASSED thank God.:monkeydance:

2. Study materials: Nclex made incredibly easy: Kaplan review for International nurses

3. SON: UK RN so no nclex advice offered from University

4. NCLEX taken Thursday 29th March; results via P/Vue Sat 31st (sadly failed)

5. Total disbelief that the computer shut off at 75; thought it could go either way 50/50 chance, during exam felt going well, obviously got that wrong.

6. Yep 1st attempt; not my last tho, will succeed one day.

105 I think, I was so shocked when it shut off that I wasn't certain which question I was on

Hurst live review, kaplan RN Nclex review manual, Nclex for Dummies, Saunders RN review manual

Yes, ATI

total disbelief, followed by going back and forth between certainty that I failed to somewhat confident that I passed..

Yes it was, and I pray it's my last!

1. First time 75 questions. Second time passed with 120 Q.

2. The first time used Kaplan only, and second time used Suzannes first tip and Saunders 3rd edition.

3. HESI, which was not helpful to me.

4. 24 hours. I passed!

5. i went in the second time feeling confident, but when I left I felt as though I failed.

6. Passed the second time!!!;)

5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? 100% thought i failed. only sure of at least less than 10 questions answered correctly.

4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? Took the test on a Thursday found out on Saturday morning online

5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? Certainty that I failed

6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX? No Second, and I did fail, going in for round 3 not for awhile though. Gotta get my head together. Good Luck to all those who are about to take the test and who are waiting for their results:)
