Polk State Spring 2020

Published

Hey everyone, I'm starting this thread for Polk State College Spring 2020 hopefuls. Right now, my total score is 111.15. I'm retaking my TEAS Wednesday (right now my TEAS score is 76) and I'm retaking Algebra summer II for a higher grade. We shall see how it goes...

Hello everyone,

I decided a couple weeks ago that I am going to apply to Polk State too. One of my good friends has a friend that just finished the program and he got offers from hospitals before he even graduated from the program which is a good sign. I am not ready to submit my application just yet as I will be taking the teas for the third time next week. I am applying to seminole's program as well but want to score higher. I was reviewing the application online through etrieve but was wondering it if is really just one page? I didn't see anywhere on the application where it asked for Tea scores or GPAs. Do they just factor that in for you?

I think it says ended once it is accepted into the system. Mine says ended as well.

Good to know. Thanks!

KnightNurse,

When you apply, they have to already have all of your transcripts, TEAS score, etc on file with the school. You do not need to include any of that on the application.

Yes I checked the history. Mine says approved as well. I guess that just takes it from showing as pending applicants or something. ?

Thanks for the insight. I figured that was the case but wanted to make sure because it's so different than Seminoles. You have to fill out a paper application and fill out like seven pages of stuff. I like that Polk State's is so much more simple. I have an 82 on my Teas. Scored that the first and second time I took the test but I want to score at least an 85 on next week's attempt. My points come up to 118 points with Polk's point system but if I score an 85 or higher on the teas next week, it will put me at 121 or above

Even with your score of 82 equaling your points to 118, you have a very good chance of getting in especially this term around. Best of luck!

Yes, ended means your application was approved! Mine says ended too.

If anyone is looking for the fall nutrition class still, I just enrolled. It's an online class. When I checked yesterday there were none available.

That’s really good! With that score your chances are excellent. Let’s hope we all make it ?

That’s awesome! We’re in the same boat. I’m not happy with my gpa, but I have a previous degree and scored an 86 on my teas. I hope we make it!!
