Polk State Spring 2020

Published

Hey everyone, I'm starting this thread for Polk State College Spring 2020 hopefuls. Right now, my total score is 111.15. I'm retaking my TEAS Wednesday (right now my TEAS score is 76) and I'm retaking Algebra summer II for a higher grade. We shall see how it goes...

Anyone have their documents come played on castle branch? I feel like mine are taking forever to show completed.

I inquired via chat on Castlebranch. They said they are running behind right now and the turnaround time is 9-12 business days.

I'm still waiting on results for some blood work for my Hep A, Hep B, and TB test but I uploaded stuff on Friday Sept 13th and they just got approved this past weekend. I uploaded the moral affidavit the other day and it literally got approved the nextday so it just all depends. I just uploaded my BLS and Hep b waiver and I'm assuming it will be another week before it gets approved

Thank you ! ?

I have everything uploaded, but my flu vaccine. I know in the packet it says to wait until we are told to get the flu shot..

I got my flu shot already. I just did it with my other immunizations bc I get one wellness check a year with my insurance

We should all sit next to each other in the meeting on Friday!!

Hey everyone, I’ve also uploaded a couple of things to castlebranch and they’ve been pending all week.

Does anyone recommend any good nursing shoes?

That’d be great if we could all meet at orientation, Austin!

Hey guys! I wanted some advice. I unfortunately don’t have any medical insurance at the moment. I was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat and knew of the cheapest way of going about getting all of the vaccinations that we need?

I believe the health department gives them for free?

Has anyone on the alternate list received a call yet?

I emailed Ms. Jones yesterday inquiring about alternates getting called. She said as of yesterday, no one had "given up" their spot, but will get alternates in as late as mid-December. So, I'm hoping orientation is different. By orientation last spring, I believe they were close to #10 on the alternate list and then got to around #15 on orientation day. I'm still sitting here #2 with nothing!! Haha, just my luck!!
