Mine got stolen a few months ago, (along with all my jewelry), and since then I've been making 'do' with my digital Ironman. I'm looking for a better watch with a sweeping second hand, and luminous markers, but of course I want the best value for the money. If you love your watch I'd like to know the details. Thank you!
I have a few different ones. I have one similar to this:

It's got military time, a second hand, and because you wear it on your scrub top, it doesn't get messy and is out of harm's way.
I also have this one:
Neat graphics, military time, second hand and water resistant.
Great thread--lotsa good posts!
Many good watches in my lifetime. Give m'self a butt-kick for not buying a Rolex Oyster when I went to Nam. Have had those neck hangers (cheap stop watches) & like not having to worrry about dipping into the yuck. Got a fake Rolex (Chinese). Best fake I've ever seen (including the gas station & Tiajuana) for $20 from a DEA buddy of a buddy in NYC.
Buddy told me not to wear this "Divers watch" in the shower though.
Love Timex Indiglos & the Casio gadget watches. Good luck figuring out which gadgets you really need
Best watch I ever had for all around is a Seiko Quartz divers watch. Been wearing mine for abt 5 yrs. Had to put her on the shelf 6 mos ago when she took a "hammer-blow" fall & the hands stopped. Digital still keeps perfect time. I say it's perfect for me cause it's practical has both hands and a digital (which gives me 24-hr/2nd time zone).
Been using the cheapo Chinese job that I got for Nurse's Week at the last place I worked. It's fine, even has a light, which neither of my "diver's" watches has. Gotta wear something else to my next job interview, though. This one has the hospital logo on it.

I bought a fake Tag-Heur watch in Cancun, Mexico about 5 years ago. I paid 20 bucks for the thing and I swear you can't tell the difference in my fake and a real one unless you hold both of them and compare the weight. I droppped it a few months ago and broke the hands off and thought I would have to ditch it, but the jeweler was able to repair it. YAY!!!!
Timex Rush watch, has a easy to use countdown timer on it. You can set it for 15, 30, minutes ect so if you need to go back and check a pt. The other night I had to give iv diltiazem followed in 30 minutes by .5 iv dig and the timer worked great.
I have one for home that is the new model and got an older model on Campmore web site for like $16
Don't laugh. I buy the cheapest ones you can find at Walmart usually around $4-8 definately under $12.
I have some very nice looking dress watches that I have received they most wonderful complements on. My every day watch looks like any expensive Seiko.
They are all quartz. They work just fine. Very accurate.
I own a men's Timex Indiglo in black, it's water proof and had a cloth/leather band, making it easy to keep clean. Has 12/24 hour time and a nice sweeping second hand. I have had it for over 4 years now and I am lost with out it, now that I need a new battery (Off to the jeweler's to replace it). I think I paid around 20-25 bucks for it.
I also have a fossil and love it. They come with extra links in the band so I can easily wear it a little on the high side for easier hand washing, also water resistant, 3 years and going...love it. With the extra links, that are very easy to add/remove it is good for larger or smaller wrists also.:roll :roll :roll

I have to say all five of my kids have at one time or another bought me cartoon watches. I have a cheapo pooh one that I have had the same watch/battery for over three years. Sigh. I want to buy a new one but it just won't die! LOL.
