You're in for a bumpy ride is this is the kind of thing that upsets you.
What do you care what your "buddies" think. Geez you're becoming a nurse, if your buddies haven't ribbed you about that already, what's a little ribbing about a sticker. You might as well get used to it. Or tell them to the heck up and show a little respect.
I'm not telling you what to do or think or what's important to you, but this sounds like small change to the serious challenges that are ahead of you. Choose your battles my friend.
Of course you're talking to a guy who lives in a pink house and whose neighbors house is pink too. Land of the pink flamingos and houses I live.
Are you aware that nursing school will require you to spend time on the OB unit... or you may even have to give breastfeeding tips, and say the word BREAST without turning red?
You will be exposed to a lot of unusual things regarding sexuality and be expected to be scure enough in your own identity that other people's choices can be respected. Can you do that?
did you know that some men wear pink shirts to work? And some women think it is a sign of maturity and erotic that they are confident enough to do that?
What's the big deal? All the other 30k or so students that attend onsite classes at ACC will have pink parking passes too. It's not like the pink passes are to identify nursing students only - even the Automotive Tech students will be sporting them.
Good luck this semester - you'll need a lot of it!
Cheers,

I have been in the process of getting into nursing school for about a year and a half now, and we have never had a parking permit that was PINK! :angryfire ***! :angryfire Any guys ever had something like this happen? My school is near the awesome National Champs. UT, so last year when we had orange parking tags that was cool. This year.....PINK!
I know, I know, Breast cancer support. That's cool and all, but I am a guy in Nursing School. I am single, not ugly, tough, rugged, nice, charming, and now I have a pink parking tag on my truck so when I show up for class as one of the "guys" in the Nursing program what looks am I going to get? I am already catching flack from my buddies. Now I really can't wait till next year.....Baby Blue?:chuckle
I know that is not the important thing here, but I am in and this was not the way I thought I would start out my first sem. as a Nursing Student. I sure hope they don't make us wear pink scrubs.:wink2:
