Hi everyone - just wanted to start a new thread for everyone admitted to the LA Pierce College Nursing Program for Fall 2014! Current student input would be helpful as well! :-)
I worked a little bit last semester. I do have students in my class who work full time. 76% is passing. Straight A's is an extremely difficult task to pull off in nursing school, I got all A's in my science pre reqs but so far have 2 A's and 4 B's throughout this program. I gave the previous semester all my study guides for 1st semester which I can give to you guys that should help ease the burden of studying.
Hey ClassyBoxer! I would LOVE and greatly appreciate if I would be able to get your study guides seeing as 15 people dropped out. I was going to try and PM you, but it didn't let me. Anyways, thanks for your advice so far.
Hey guys! I'm excited and nervous for the semester to start. I don't live in LA county and am looking for somewhere to stay while I go to school. So if anyone knows anyone who needs a roomate let me know. Thanks!
Hey! Unfortunately I don't know of anyone in need of a roommate, but welcome! Can't wait to start! :-)
Welcome starlight. I highly suggest you guys form a Facebook group and make it secret. Every semester has their own group. If you don't have a Facebook I would create one specifically for this purpose. This way you guys can post files like study guides, reminders, and ask questions about the current semester.
The Facebook group doesn't come up in the search bar for some reason, so here is the link:
Hi classy boxer. I am starting my second semester this fall at LA mission college. I want to transfer into a four year college to get my bsn but I will also be applying to pierce just in case I don't get into a university. I hope that I will not be put in a waiting list. I was just wondering if you had any advice as to what not to do? For example do you have any regrets or do wish you would have done something different while doing your pre requisites or extra curriculums that could of looked better on your app? Or maybe something delayed your route into getting in the program?
