Hi everyone - just wanted to start a new thread for everyone admitted to the LA Pierce College Nursing Program for Fall 2014! Current student input would be helpful as well! :-)
Yes, It is hard
But it is because you have so many things to do.
You are going to have an exam almost every week and your exam will cover about 4 to 6 chapters.
Your lecture is only one day in a week.
You're going to see that your study habit or method you've done for pre-regs would not work in this program.
You have to study almost like 24/7 to pass your classes.
If you study hard and get used to nursing school questions, you will be fine. :)
The key to pass the program (not only for this program but any nursing school) is how fast you get used to NCLEX style question.
Hey guys, congrats on getting in. I'm going into my 3rd semester of the pierce nursing program. Your 1st semester will definitely be tough with all the classes and the new style of questioning you will be introduced to. As far as shoes go, you want all white, comfortable shoes that you can stand in for 8+ hours. I have a pair of nikes that I use. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
That's nice. Yeah, I don't about the shoes either. I think it's gonna be all white though. Have any of u guys ordered the med sug kit yet? I am going to do it in a few days .
Yes. I called the company and they want us to fax our completed order form to them! The fax number is on the flyer we got.

Thank you so much for the info! And yeah, any other tips you think may help are greatly appreciated!
Have you worked at all throughout your time in the program? Also, how possible is it to get strait A's? And what is the percentage you need to pass the program?
Thanks again!
