Okay after you are done giggling, this is a very useful thing! My daughter has some GI issues and trying to explain her bm's is often challenging. If only a nurse had shown me this and let me pick out the one I was trying to describe. I thought someone might find this useful for their patients. Zelnorm might even provide these charts for free if you tell them you are a medical professional.

that's the bristol stool scale, and i can't believe you've never seen it before!!when i was at uni i made it my duty to ensure one of these was in every bathroom in the accomodation blocks.
knowledge is power!
I can assure you, if I'd ever seen one of these charts, I'd have remembered it! :)
I think it would have been a good idea to see at SOME point in school; I remember asking my instructor just HOW to chart something....interesting....I found in the bowl!
I love all nurses, I've just spent 30 mins on the phone to England discussing my Dads stool, he thinks he's constipated, goes every other day and his BM is type 4, so now he's taking a lxative and says he has diarrhea which to him means he goes daily and has type 5 stools, aaaaggghhh, this will help LOL. It is also TMI for me to know about my DAD!!:chuckle
