PHSC 2015 Nursing Hopefuls

Published

Hey everyone!

I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?

Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!

Thanks!

For me it took a little less than two weeks, but I submitted my app well before the deadline, so it might take a little longer now.

Just over a week maybe? And I agree, might take longer if you turned it in later.

I turned it on on the 10th. Thanks guys :)

To be clear, I really (really really really) want to get into the transition program. But does anyone else ever have those moments where you almost don't care whether or not you get in, you just want to know? :nailbiting: It's been a long road, and I'm so anxious for an answer!

I am SO ready to find out too! Its crazy to think that I began this journey just over a year ago and honestly, I felt SO weird going back to school! My first day of the pre-reqs was so surreal, and now I feel like all of it just came so natural, that I really truly believe I am finally on the right path!

Hopefully, we wont have to wait til the end of July or anything crazy, my heart cant take it lol! I wonder how many applicants in total are in the running for both transition and generic track?

Last year they started receiving letters around the first.

Last year they started receiving letters around the first.

So exciting! Do you know if they had the same application deadline?

HelloNurseCM,

The deadline this year was 2 weeks later than the deadline last year, so hopefully by mid July we should be receiving ours!

Hi all ,

I received my letter last year during the last week of June. I know how hard it is to wait - hang in there and good luck to you all!

I completely agree hello nurse I've been an lpn now for 5 years and have come and gone from school wanting to get my rn now that I finally applied and am waiting to find out a part of me is like whatever if I get in great if I don't I'll try again... still would love to get in now just because I'm planning my life right now into being in the program in 2 months but get what your saying !!!!

We are 1 more week closer to finding out :-)

Does anyone know how the clinicals work?? I know you have lab for those two days a week for about a month until you master your skills so, once that happens does your whole class go to clinicals those same two days or do you then get a separate clinical time and day??
