Hey everyone!
I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?
Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!
Thanks!
I got into two campuses for fall with a 3.7 and an 81%. I opted not to start so I could finish my masters, I reapplied for the spring start. I imagine you'll get into the West campus, I think they have more seats.
Feel free to move to the 2016 hopefuls thread to see the composite scores every one else has
Hi all! I currently just finished my first semester at PSC. As if that wasn't enough I am looking for a change in schools. What gets me more than anything at PSC is their CPEs that pass or fail you. I am wondering what PHSC has been like for people for the generic RN program? I will be applying this week. I don't know why they don't give preference for someone who has shown they can compete the courses, but when I called that's what they said. Apply like everyone else. Here goes...! Please help me with any advice!
PHSC will not show any priority preference from other schools. I had looked into possibly transferring a year ago and found that there are not many schools that do. PHSC will give you an additional 5 points if you are a Pasco or Hernando resident so make sure your DL has one of those counties. Other than that they look at your Pre-req GPA and TEAS score. That is how they have done it for years. Hope this helps you a little
