Hey everyone!
I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?
Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!
Thanks!
Just wanted to let everyone know that even though clinicals don't start until the 28th of September, that there will be "labs" that might be on different days than the clincals, to lead up to working at the hospital.
For example, my clinicals are Mondays and Fridays, but I was just informed that there will labs on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting the 26th of August until the 24th of September. This wasn't mentioned in the orientation and if a friend hadn't informed me I would have had to call out of work last minute to make it.
If you want to find out when these labs are, go onto the PHSC website, look under programs and courses, and click course schedule. You can then search by campus and by suffix (NUR) and find your lab section. Under your section it should say when your lab days are.
For all of east campus it's Wed. & Thur. 8:00-5:30

Just a quick FYI, I seen in a previous page someone said the Bachelors program was accredited and another person said it was not. Well I actually spoke to an advisor about the RN program and just happened to ask her about the Bachelors program and she did in fact say the Bachelors program in nursing is now in fact accredited, they got their gold stamp of approval and it will start this August ! Good luck to everyone that got in to the nursing programs !! As for myself I will try again next year !!
