PHSC 2015 Nursing Hopefuls

Hey everyone!

I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?

Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!

Decided to call Connie and double check one more time before the weekend. She informed me that all the transition seats were accepted. :( Can't help but feel a little blue. I've already turned in my application for Porter's January program, so hopefully something works out.

I drove out to NPR on the one day I could to pick up the paperwork to do my drug test and guess who wasn't there...NANCY! Now they are saying there is no other way to get the form and it's due Monday and I can't drive back out to NPR. I am beyond frustrated!!!

That stinks. I got my paperwork from the student helper sitting at the front desk in the nursing offices. Maybe send her an email?

Does anyone know what exactly is due before orientation? There is a lot to get done.

I don't think anyone is going to tell you because they don't want to risk their spot in the program. I would print the packet that was emailed to you and read through it VERY carefully.

The packet really isn't clear about much. I've ready it like 5 times. :/ I'm certain its not all due by Monday though.

Read the packet carefully, its very clear about what is due and when

Read the first page carefully. It will tell you in detail what is due and when.

Lapin there really isn't a whole lot to complete. The wording cabe a little confusing, just read it carefully.

Lapin, someone mentioned it earlier in this thread. Not sure if they've deleted it or not. Go back a few pages and see.

Not sure if the information is the same for LPN, though.
