I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?
Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!
I feel really confident about it. Only thing that threw me off is two of the pictures. And i know what the blood pressure cuff is called but I know I didn't spell it right
Idk i was unsure on about 8.. I really didnt study too much though my son was really sick and it threw me off my game. No excuse is a good excuse but we shall see. I really like the teacher tho i had the other teacher over summer and didnt enjoy it as much
I got an 86% on the first lecture exam and not sure on the lab. I think I did ok but a few unsure about. The cuff is a sphygmomanometer and I missed a few letters in it lol. I think she will accept it if it is close. I didn't study too much for the test in lab and mainly on the anatomy so a few of the other questions threw me off. I tried to get into the11 am lab but it was closed. I had Adams for anatomy1 and now I wish had this one, I like her! The funny thing is, I have Adams for Marine Biology this semester and she is great lol.
Spazani teaches A&P but he is also the Biology director for the college. I did very well in A&P2 I took Adams, got in the mid 90's. Finally nohlsson haha! I never had a study group for anatomy I only studied the power points and notes+ a&p online assignments.
I got my letter that they accepted my application for the LPN program today! Nothing from the RN one yet. I tried to take Spazani for A&P but he either wasn't teaching yet this semester or full.
Finally got all three of my letters for the RN and LPN programs!!
Question: Supposedly, the LPN people find out about their acceptance a few weeks before the RN. How long do you have to accept an offer? I don't want to automatically accept one of the LPN programs if there's a chance I could get accepted into the RN program. Also, my RN letter says that we should find out the first week of November. Is that what it always says?
Random thought: Connie personally signed all of the letters (I can tell because all three of her signatures vary). That makes me feel like there aren't as many applicants haha. At least I hope...... if not, a guy can only dream. heh.
I hope you're all doing well! I'm sure we will all be studying/working with each other eventually! Our dedication will eventually pay off. :-)
