I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?
Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!
I am pretty confident in making the program after chatting with a few of you and looking through some of the older posts.
My wife wanted to get me a nice stethoscope for getting into the program. Her father was a Murse from way back and she remembers her dad saying that a stethoscope was a very important tool. When her father received his acceptance letter, her mom gave him his first stethoscope on the spot. So to keep in tradition she wants to do the same for me. Per her sisters recommendation, she is getting me one of the Cardiology III with a special finish.
I just wanted to share this info with anyone that might be interested. The special finish cardiology III w/engraving on the tube and head was just over $160 with shipping.

Employee Health. It's supposed to be a pretty chillax job where you only deal with employee screenings and paperwork. Most of the actual nursing is blood draws.
