PHSC 2015 Nursing Hopefuls

Published

Hey everyone!

I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?

Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!

Thanks!

Does anyone plan on working while in the program? I'm hoping to be able to keep my full time job.

I have to. I can't afford to not work full time.

Work is paying for it so yea I have to work. Plus I have a son so I need money for daycare

I have to in order to survive.lol I'll have to find a new job tho :/. Ah the stress.

I have no idea if I will work during the program or not. I live with my parents still so most likely I don't have to. Risky what campus?

I heard porter campus is doing clinicals on Saturdays with one group. I don't know if you can choose or not but that would be helpful for people who work. I do not work but do have an 18 month old. Hopefully I won't have to put him in daycare.

My son will go to daycare only when im in class or clinical and i wont have to work. My husband works a ton though so im guessing study time will have to be late nights. Im thankful i wont have to work though cause the class work load is a lot.

I won't have to work. I do however have 3 kids two of which that our in school and a 13 month old. My husband works rotating shifts so if he can't watch her my mom will when I have class or clinicals. I will be studying late nights as well if I get in. Dai if I get in we will have to exchange numbers so if we have a question at 1 am we could text each other lol:)

So did someone here we would here in October?

Sorry *hear lol I know Mike said his paper said Nov. but I thought I saw someone say that they heard mid October.

I was told we would hear around October 15th. I turned in my application last Monday and haven't received my first letter letting me know my application has been processed? how long does it usually take to get that letter? and yes we shall i study best with study buddies for sure!

Not sure. I turned mine in on the 12th. Nothing for me yet either.
