dear all, is it hard to get into Phillips Beth Israel School of nursing?? i heard they require to take the pre-nursing exam and do you guys know what subject of matter test on the exam?? is it hard?? since i never take any biology before!!
Nope nothing yet. the admissn. commt. is meeting on 05/05, so look out for a call within 3 wks.if not call them.I was told this by a maria gallo(don't know if the spelling is correct) who is one of the interviewers.
called nln on tues. they sent my results. it was 114/72.messed up on the math but the others have good scores.
Does anyone know if they analyse the scores separately or just the percentile
I'm a student at BI...graduating in 2 WEEKS!!!
If you have specific questions, I'm sure I can answer them.
I know that they have soooooooo many more applicants this year and they really only take about 130 students per year and at this point, prob have a waiting list.
My lil sister took the entrance exam and did everything and they sent her a letter a month ago saying she wasn't accepted. Basically, if they call u to interview, your next goal is just to impress them because your almost in! If you took then entrance exam, you prob should have had some type of response by now like my sister had!
The school has an excellent accelerated program but like everything else, there are always kinks! My BEST advice is that if you plan on going there, although u dont have to, u should DEF take ANAT 1/2 and MICRO BEFORE going there.
It is the same prof for all three classes and she is INSANELY intense. She writes textbooks and her micro class was the hardest class I've ever had in my life!!! I have nightmares about it!
Other than that, I am THRILLED to finally be done!!!:nuke:

I don't see why not...just not sure what the competition is. The problem is isn't credentials...its the amount of people that are applying. I know over 2 yrs ago when i was applying, there were 850 applicants and at that time they accepted 120 students. I am not entirely sure of exactly what their deciding factors are or if they even have one. The program is great but the administration is highly disorganized!

I would think that credentials would be a greater factor if the number of applicants have increased. Overall, I believe the bar is being raised by well prepared applicants which motivate everyone to work harder. Good luck.

Hey guys, i currently attend PBISN, im in ATOP, just finished my second semester. Good luck to everyone, i know exactly how you feel. The school is notorious for making you wait, even when you get in you still have to wait for stuff, its a given with them.
If you have any questions for me I am more than happy to answer them.
