Phillips Beth Israel Applicants

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has applied to the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC for the coming year? I am looking to get into their part-time evening program that would begin in Spring 2011. I'm taking the NLN this Wed and really nervous about it, really just the verbal part....

I signed that form, too.

Hey, have you guys thought about which PDA you are going to get? Can I use my Blackberry?

18 days until we can call to find out if we are in!!!! 18 long, grueling days ... :eek:

Hey Jayzelena and everyone else! I did not get accepted to Beth Israel but I did get accepted to Nassau Community and just had the orientation telling us our schedule, supplies, uniforms, and stuff like that! Just wanted to wish everyone good luck! Did you guys get the official Acceptance yet?

This has been a long process. Im still very hopeful because I have not gotten a rejection letter and my application is still being reviewed. Congratulations to all of those excepted.:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah: I hope to get an interview soon. the agony.

Just curious....did they tell you that you needed a PDA.

At Nassau's orientation they didnt mention it and speaking to other students who are in their 2nd and 3rd semester day they were never told to get one either

At my interviewi was told it was a requirement.I bought an ipod touch. I'm a very techy person tho anyway so I think I'm goin to find it more useful than books potentially...wow! U already had orientation? I got my package yesterday-so excited for unifrom fittings haha

Starlette, for the PDA you bought the touch, any reason why you didn't get the iPhone? I know some facilities don't allow phone or camera functions and I wonder if they told you this was an issue.

I didn't get the iPhone bc i'm with verizon and already have a blackberry. I didn't want to use my blackberry bc the battery dies so quickly. It probably is more convenient to have the phone and PDA features all in one, but I figured it would just be easier if there were phone issues with certain hospitals. I love the iPod Touch-so great! lol my bf got me one this wknd as a surprise. I had been telling him I wanted one lol.

Haven't been here in forever. How is everyone doing? Still waiting, 11 more days. Ugh. Is anyone taking micro this summer or the ethics class from FLCC?
