PHCC Fall 2010 applicants? You out there??

Published

:-)

Well, I am finished with the pre-reqs, as of December. Have taken the TEAS once but will take it again. I have met with a few advisors and one prof in the nursing dept on East. I cannot get any clear and concise information really and it's frustrating. My GPA is relatively low, comparatively (sp?) and I am trying to guage my actual chances of getting into the program. I am only applying to PHCC (either campus) and the not knowing is killing me.

So where is everyone else? I am ready to get my stuff turned in. And then the wait.

Chris99 - I believe as you do, and often wish I knew the timing of things better! It looks like you've done your homework on schools...and that's key to knowing and having options...so you can determine your deal-breakers. I agree...I would never consider a Keiser or Galen, based on the $$$ and amount of debt. I know you're too far away for pTEC, but maybe there's something similar where you live? I'm sure you've researched it, but for others reading this that may be too far away as well, it's something to think about. What school is PCC?

Thanks FLbrown...I'd forgotten about HCC's "off" application deadlines, highlighting that on my card for them.

And for anyone else, looking around...this one is Bradenton, but it may work... State College of Florida (used to be Manatee Community College) Nursing A.S. They've got some interesting application "rules", and there are no exceptions (I called!).

Good luck...and hopefully in a few weeks, we'll all have acceptance letters in our hands!

PCC= Polk CC I figure if I was looking into HCC's Plant City class, I might as well look into PCC.

I actually have a friend who is applying to that school in Bradenton. She has a 4.0 and a 90 something on her TEAS.

Everytime that I get relaxed and am not thinking about my application or the letter to come something or someone reminds me and I go into freak out mode for a few minutes. Today was due to me looking at the calendar and it's noted that next week to look for letter.

Same here...trying not to think about it! Last week was so busy it was easy. This week will be a bit harder. Can't wait to start seeing some "I got my letter!" posts! Good luck!

Unfortunately I just read on another post that admissions is saying Mid July now. So much for making plans.

Hi! I've been stalking for awahile now and figured I'd finally jump in. I applied for the night LPN program for fall and am anxiously awaiting for the letter! I have all my pre-reqs done for RN but unfortunately I can't work around the daytime schedule with 4 little kids and a hubby in school full time so I am hoping to get night LPN then do the bridge next year. My TEAS score was 87.1, I hope thats good enough to get in! Sometimes I feel confident with that score and other times I get very nervous and worried I won't get in. Ugh, this wait is killing me! Hopefully not too much longer! I look forward to getting to know you all and hopefully meeting some of you in August!

According to another post thread "Hello everyone, I called PHCC yesterday...committee met and letters will be being sent out from the admissions office by end of this week or next."

Also I looked yesterday on the PHCC site and RN program orientation is 8/3 from 8Am-12 and LPN program orientation is on 8/4 same hours.

I can't wait to see some posts regarding letters received!:) Also, I went to PHCC website and couldn't find those dates for orientation... Where are they at specifically?

Letters have been sent and some people have already gotten them! Congrats to mommy to 4 for getting into the LPN program!!!!!!

I got into the LPN program too! I haven't gotten the letter about the RN program, so I'm still waiting for that. Can't wait to start classes!!!
