Well, I am finished with the pre-reqs, as of December. Have taken the TEAS once but will take it again. I have met with a few advisors and one prof in the nursing dept on East. I cannot get any clear and concise information really and it's frustrating. My GPA is relatively low, comparatively (sp?) and I am trying to guage my actual chances of getting into the program. I am only applying to PHCC (either campus) and the not knowing is killing me.
So where is everyone else? I am ready to get my stuff turned in. And then the wait.
Seriously, I'm it???

I am! Slogging through the rest of my classes this semester...waiting until I can get my app in. Need to pay for/schedule the TEAS yet.
Yeah, the waiting has got to be worst!
Oh good there is someone out there!! What campus are you on? I am taking A&P II right now in Dade City. I am going Friday to take the TEAS for my 2nd time, hoping to bring my results up at least 5% points.
Right now, the rest of my pre-reqs are all online, but I guess the NPR campus (West?) would the "home". I need to start brushing up on my science for the Teas...and give myself time for a re-test if I need it. Good luck!

I am applying for Fall '10, too! I am doing my prereqs this semester and, so far, have all A's in them. But, who knows what will happen... Especially in A&P! I bought the TEAS study guide and will be taking that sometime soon. I am so dedicated to get into this program that I am moving to Pasco from Hillsborough to get that extra 5% to my acceptance score... I hope it's not for nothing.
How did you all do on the TEAS? I am pretty nervous about it.
I retook the TEAS....and did WORSE!! Awesome!! In my defense, I had worked the previous night until well after 1am and then was up at 8am to take it. Not smart. So, I guess I will take it. Again. For the 3rd time.
My girlfriend told me when she went to take it, while she was waiting, one of the career placement people/test admins told her that, while the TEAS material is very similar to the NET, people are scoring lower scores on the TEAS than they did on NET. I dont know if that's true, but I hope so!!! lol I got an 88% overall the first time and a 87% the second:smackingf I was really hoping to get into the 90s since my GPA is so low.

May I ask what is considered a low GPA? I'm currently at a 4.0 pre req GPA but if I get a B in A&P Lecture and or Lab that could drop some. Just curious.
Guessing anything below a 3.4 - though I'm not sure what the last class sat with ??
PHCC recommends this site for calculating GPA:

Good luck!

I believe that PHCC is accredited. And you do know that PHCC only looks at your pre-req GPA when you apply, right?
