Well, I am finished with the pre-reqs, as of December. Have taken the TEAS once but will take it again. I have met with a few advisors and one prof in the nursing dept on East. I cannot get any clear and concise information really and it's frustrating. My GPA is relatively low, comparatively (sp?) and I am trying to guage my actual chances of getting into the program. I am only applying to PHCC (either campus) and the not knowing is killing me.
So where is everyone else? I am ready to get my stuff turned in. And then the wait.
I got into the LPN program too! I haven't gotten the letter about the RN program, so I'm still waiting for that. Can't wait to start classes!!!
Me too, I have to chose between day/eve lpn. I had heard if you got into lpn that meant you did not get into RN but when I called the school they said that wasn't true?
Hi everyone!
I thought that I would finally join this forum officially (I've been reading all of your posts for some time now). I wanted to let you all know that I received a letter today for the RN program. I was selected as an "alternative" for the fall. Does anyone know much about this? I am wondering if I should remain hopeful!? I'm not sure if I'd rather get a flat denial or a "maybe" because now my life remains on hold . My fingers are still crossed!
Chris99Mu,
Congratulations!!! Don't be disappointed in getting accepted to the LPN program. It's the same amount of time in school either way you go. I think the LPN classes were M-Th, but I went to the evening program. Also, if any of you work, and expect that your program schedule will stick to what the schedule says, plan on changes, especially with clinicals. All of the programs are very condensed and fast paced (i.e. read 14 chapters the first week, pop quizzes) and 50% of our class didn't make it through the first semester!! Focus, stay motivated, don't get frustrated. If I didn't answer all your questions, write me back...Congratulations, again...
and CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU!!
Congrats Evansmum!!! Can I ask what your gpa and teas scores were? I am just curious! I thought mine were strong enough to get me in right away, but they chose me as an alternative
Kristy, I've been keeping track of the scores for those who have gotten letters (LOL--call me crazy), so if I may so bold...evansmum has a 4.0 and an 88.8 teas :)
What are your numbers as an alternate?
I am waiting to hear still. I applied to both LPN and RN, and I submitted a 4.0 and an 87.1 teas...

So wait...LPN letters are out, but not nursing?? I hope I get both not far apart as to not keep this tension going.
