Hello at 8am I took my test and I got really anxious so I did the pearsonvue trick at 1:30pm.
i went in and proceeding to reregister. I put in all my cards information with the wrong expiration and clicked submit both times. I got the message in red saying a recent test was scheduled and I could not register at this time.
My my friend did the same and it allowed her to register and get a receipt when she failed in May so I am praying it's right but I will have official result on Wednesday thru quick results!!!

Much like a Magic 8 Ball....sometimes you get the answer you want...sometimes you don't. Sometimes the "answer" matches what actually happens....sometimes it does not.
I'm wondering at what point Pearson Vue will begin charging or attempting to charge EVERY card that is submitted, so there is no longer this silly thing called a Pearson Vue Trick?
At any rate, good luck to both of you....and I will continue cautioning those who insist on doing the PVT not to celebrate or despair based on what it says. That would be a waste of joy and angst
The pearsonvue trick went bad for you? It was opposite?
No :)
But it's something of a pet interest for me, so....I've learned A LOT about it.
Maybe this will help explain it better:

Good luck!
I would have definitely been more uneasy if everyone said it worked and it didn't. And I feel for the people that that happened to. However, I still have not seen a post where someone got the good pop up and found out they failed. Now that would be more devastating thinking strongly you passed but didn't lol. Also pearsonvue would tell anyone who called that the only official results are the ones they release so today I took a risk by doing that. I understood after I read the payment guidelines that I was taking a risk of being charged. I assume pearsonvue could easily fix it to where it doesn't allow anyone to re register or attempt for a certain time frame and eventually they will. But most charging systems will decline a card if the billing address and or expiration date entered was wrong. I say everyone has to be smart and know nothing is official until the board declares it. What is the world of nursing like? Is it mostly what we fear and dream of?
I passed my test got my unofficial quick review $8 test. I would like to say that I believe the pearsonvue trick was good for me and it does work for passing. However, if u find through the pearsonvue trick that you fail you should still not be discouraged because according to the nclex site they use the first 48 hours to make sure the test is accurately graded. So there is still chance for you. Also it gives you a fine print that u r putting your card in to be charged. So to avoid charges I used the wrong expiration. I heard another lady on YouTube say she bout a $25 gift card and tried it. No matter what is found thru pearsonvue you cannot call it official until you get your license number. But the pearsonvue trick did comfort me as a passer.

Happy that you passed.
PVT has done some false passes. RNsRWe posted recently that someone accepted a job offer based on PVT and then found out she failed. The biggest issue with PVT is the emotional turmoil that goes with it. Imagine walking around for 2 days thinking you failed only to find out you passed and cried for no reason. Or even worse, telling everyone you passed based on PVT only to find out later that you failed. That is the reason that some of us try to discourage doing the trick. The accuracy of the old trick was around 98%, and the accuracy of the new one after 24 hours was once quite high as well, but not anymore!
Risking $200 is not a great idea, but it's your money, so risk at will! Emotionally though-well that's a different story and I wouldn't risk that.

Two days. My, my. Imagine if there was no PVT, no Internet, and you had to wait almost two months to get your results? (Although you could still work as a nurse until you got your results.) The use of Xanax and Ativan would skyrocket!! 😱
I understand but that's exactly what I was saying. You cannot consider the pvt official. According to the pearsonvue website even the quick results are unofficial so it is not okay until you have a license number. And $200 is a lot. So that is why I chose to use the wrong expiration so I would not be charged either way. I hate that those people had to go thru that pain. I can't think of any job in Mississippi that would allow us to bring the pvt printed out and say this is my official pass record. But I'm not quite sure how other states are doing this. So so so sad that was even possible to happen. I didn't even go and accept the jobs where they let you work basically as a tech for 45 days and you have to pass your nclex within that time period because I wanted to be sure I had this done.

I am so with you.
Somehow we survived without the drugs. However, we were not brought up in an immediate-gratification world where "freaking out" garnered us as much attention as we craved. We just -- went about our lives, working, shopping, cleaning, going out, and whatevs until the results came. Imagine that.
I took my boards over two full days in July and got my results in October. And did not die. Three months. Of waiting, but not decompensating.
Having heard all the freaking out, sleeplessness, anxiety, and frank navel-gazing about this here, I truly do not get why living your life for three days is so much sacrifice to ask of a college-educated nascent professional. Expressing these emotions is not an explanation, so please do not try to explain more special snowflakeness in these terms to enlighten me.
For gawdsakes, try to be professional, or if you won't do that, "fake it til you make it" would work. Don't do it to impress me. Do it to impress all the people in your real lives. It would, you know.
