Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site.
Updated:
Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.
This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.

Does PVT work on Saturday exams? Does it work on long weekends?
From what I've read on some other PVT threads, I don't think the day matters. Pearson knows you've passed or failed as soon as your test shuts off so trying to reregister to take it should work regardless of the day.
I took my test yesterday which sounds similar to yours: 75 questions with a ton of SATAs. I got the good popup so hopefully you do too! :)
Took it the 26th, started at 1245 finished at 1315. System shut off after 85 (NCLEX-PN)
brought my laptop thinking I'd find a mcdonalds or starbucks with free wifi but there was a hotel right behind the test center so I did the PVT and it would not let me get to the CC page.
Recieved my "unofficial" results availability on the pearsonvue site at 1315 today (I was checking every 30 min, heh) and paid the 8 bucks and I Passed :-)
I was worried that due to the holiday weekend I'd have to wait longer than 48hrs.

How can you determine that there is a "1% marginal error" when this is an unsanctioned, unofficial method of guessing pass/fail?
Pearson Vue doesn't offer this "trick" as a reliable method of determining results, so where's the data on the failure rate of the "trick" being 1%?
