Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.

This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.

Thanks for the reply...I came up with the conclusion that:

1.) If you got the good pop-up, 99.9% of the time you've most likely passed the exam.

2.) If it takes you directly to the CC page, its either you pass or fail, best thing to do is to wait for the official results from the BoN or if your state offers quick results(which is my state doesn't participate into it) then you can determine it from there. Due to the fact that there are numerous instances of candidates that was taken to the CC page but still passed the exam and

3.) If your results are on hold it means they are investigating on something.

I took the NCLEX yesterday in California and received the pop up that says,

""Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

Its interesting how there are two different messages; the one I got, and the other one that most people get that says "passed" in the pop up. I wonder if those of us in California only receive the one I got. It won't let me to go the credit card screen, so I guess that is good, right?

I've been checking the California BRN website and searching for my name. It hasn't been posted yet, I heard it can take 2-3 days for it to appear. This is the website,. On the page you click the top link:

Any comments on any or no difference between the pop up I got, and the pop up that says "passed"?

I heard about this trick in nursing school, and of course tried it immediately after taking NCLEX a few weeks ago. It said I couldn't re-register, and the next day I go the official "PASS" from the board of nursing. All of my fellow student nurses also tried it and it did the same thing. I did have a friend fail the NCLEX and it *did* let her re-register for the NCLEX the whole way through, so she did not get that message that everyone gets.

@Kralinn - I took nclex pn on Oct 11. Also checked PVT a few hrs after the test and got the good pop up. Could you please let me know when you get your results? So we can compare timeframe and inform everyone else.

Thank you so much!

**fingers-crossed** =)

Took nclex pn today at 8:00am and finished at 11:45. 200 questions and lots of SATA and quite a few arrange in order. I went home and tried the Pearson vue trick 3 hours after testing and received the good "pop-up". I was certain I failed and am still feeling uncertain. Since I live in California I have about four weeks to know for sure...arrgghhhhh.

In California, took 10 days for my name to post on the BRN. The California BRN recently updated their system and they said it now can take up to 4 weeks to post.

got the good popup hoping!

I took my PN test yesterday and tried te trick and it didnt let me reister, I found out I passed tis mornin at 8am! my test was 200 questions and I freaked because I felt like I failed! Tank jesus! My keyboard is missin letters! I tink it works!!!!

Took RN boards 12/5/13. after agonizing a full day and a half, I checked pvt....I held my breath as I nervously typed in my info and there it was, the good pop up! OMG don't know what to think, so stunned. Don't want to allow myself to believe I passed till I see official results but inside I'm deliriously happy :)

I wanted to add my story since I googled and read every single post I could between testing time and result time! I graduated on 11/15/13 and took my NCLEX PN on Saturday 12/7/13. The computer cut off at 85 questions and I had a TON of SATA. I was sure I failed. When the computer cut off I immediately wanted to cry because I felt like I hadn't answered anything correctly and I wanted more questions to prove myself. I drove home really depressed and numb and almost didn't want to try the pop up trick, but I did. I was shaking when I went through the process sure it was going to send me to the CC screen. It didn't, I got the good pop up! But like everyone else I was sure I was going to be the one exception because I really felt I had failed the exam. Well this morning I logged onto the FL BON's page and my results were in, I passed!! I'm so happy and in disbelief. Good luck to everyone taking the NCLEX and thank you for all sharing your stories, they really helped!

Just an update.... PVT does indeed work.... Went to BRN website to look for status on license and there I was! I am officially an RN!!!! I am sooooooo happy! Thank you Lord, thank you, thank you, thank you!
