  1. @MissHavokk:I had the same message you did and felt exactly like you about failing, in fact, there was no doubt in my mind I had failed. I wanted to cry when my computer shut off at 75 questions. I left testing center feeling numb and quite confused about what just had happened. I think you can feel a bit reassured you passed, at least to get some sleep tonight lol. I know you won't be totally at ease until you see those official results on the BON site but let that good pop up give you some assurance, after all, it's meant good news for MANY of us with the same message. Good job!
  2. Congratulations, I guess all you can do is wait But the great part is you passed! Celebrate, the hard part is finally over
  3. Just an update.... PVT does indeed work.... Went to BRN website to look for status on license and there I was! I am officially an RN!!!! I am sooooooo happy! Thank you Lord, thank you, thank you, thank you!
  4. Took RN boards 12/5/13. after agonizing a full day and a half, I checked pvt....I held my breath as I nervously typed in my info and there it was, the good pop up! OMG don't know what to think, so stunned. Don't want to allow myself to believe I passed till I see official results but inside I'm deliriously happy :)
  5. Hello all again, just a quick update, I've finished my RN program in May and just today took my NCLEX exam. Now just waiting for results, keep ur fingers crossed! I want to encourage all of you moms and those returning to nursing after so many years of being away to carry on with your goals and dreams. You must be diligent, patient and most of all work hard, you will get there. God Bless
  6. Hello learningmom, how wonderful for you that you are pursuing your goal of becoming a nurse! It is never too late to fulfill your dreams. Mine started when I was in my mid twenties and got my LVN license. I wanted to pursue my RN license but motherhood happened and I became a SAHM instead. Many years later, my two kids are now in middle school and I will begin my RN program in January 2012. I am excited as well as scared but you know what, I am going for it! We live only once, we need to find our path in life and if nursing is yours, then God speed, Take a deep breath and jump in.
  7. Wonderful to hear about your endeavors, keep moving forward!
  8. I was hoping to find something like this in my local community college BUT had no luck
  9. I'm in Southern California and believe me, finding this class was no easy feat! I called hospitals, community colleges and vocational schools with hardly any results. There were online options but I felt that I needed a classroom setting with an instructor to really learn. The course consists of nine sessions each 8 hrs long for a total of 72 hrs. The downside is that there is no clinical component, which I really wanted. I start in a week, wish me luck!
  10. I went through something similar when I was a student LVN and I know how hard it can be. As a matter of fact, I was in my last month or so of school. It may feel really bad for you but be strong and really focus on finishing, you'll feel so good about yourself! It may be hard to believe, but you will move on, in time and you won't hurt like you are now. Work hard at your goal, the finish line is in sight!
  11. Hi everyone I recently signed up for an LVN refresher course after being home full time with my kids for 10 years. My question to anyone who can help is the following. Where should I try applying for work once I am finished with the refresher class? I'm really excited to jump back into the nursing field but also a little nervous, okay a lot nervous! Just hoping someone can give me some advice. Thanks in advance! :)
