Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site.
Updated:
Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.
This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.

Hello, I took my Nclex for the second time in Ohio this morning and when trying the pearson vue trick this afternoon the pop-up said "The candidate has previously passed this exam. A new appointment cannot be scheduled." I know this is different than what the other posts on this site have said and I was just wanting to make sure that this "unofficially" means I have passed and if anyone else has recieved a message that has said this!????? Thanks :)

Hello!
So, I took my RN boards today, answered about 138 questions and did the pearson vue trick and I got a message saying "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time". I hope I really did pass but I let you know Monday.
I took my boards at 8:00 am Fri and got the good pop up ("Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time".) around noon Fri. Paid for early results today and I passed.
CALIFORNIA NCLEX RN
Took my test on Aug 1 (Wednesday) 12PM. Cried the night before & the morning of, had 75 Qs (9 SATA, 1 photo, 2 priority) & I cried after leaving the testing building feeling like a failure.
My friend had told me about a few tricks you could do to see if you "passed".
1. Ask the test proctor, right after the test, if you can reschedule your test. If they say you cannot, you passed. If they let you, you failed.
2. Pearson Vue Trick (PVT); try to register online for a rescheduled NCLEX. If a pop up occurs, you passed. If it gets your credit card information, you failed.
3. Keep checking the BON license verification site to see if your name and license number has been imputed.
Why California does not participate in quick results? Beats me. I refused to try option #1, so I tried the PVT & I got the pop up. It calmed my nerves A LITTLE.
Aug 5 (Friday) 1:08PM. I took a leap of faith, tried option #3, and PRAISE THE LORD - I am a RN.
**The trick works! Logic: the computer knows if you passed or failed, why would you need to pay to retest if you passed?!
GOOD POP UP SAYS: Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Borad for futher assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time.
