Hey all!
I wanted to give a quick update to the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) 2017. While looking for if the "trick" still worked, I didn't see much updated info, and wanted to hopefully alleviate some stress on new grads. I took NCLEX Jan 10th 2017, and got all 265 questions. I started at 8am and finished around 11am. I came home and cried my eyes out thinking I failed, because I assumed getting all the questions was a bad thing. Long story short I tried the PVT by trying to reregister for nclex at about 2pm (I told myself I was going to wait until the next day, but I just couldn't!). I used a current credit card, but put in the incorrect exp date and cvc. I got the "good popup" but wasn't convinced. The good pop up says something about you have already registered for the test blah blah and will not take your money. I tried again later in the evening, maybe around 6ish and got the same result. I was slightly more hopeful, but still not convinced. In Wisconsin we have an OLAS application website I checked also, and next to my nclex results it turned green and said met. At exactly 8am the next day I got the official email from the State of Wisconsin that I had passed, and contained my RN number. I also bought the quick results which said pass.... Soooo long story short the PVT worked for me in 2017!
I did the PVT and I changed my expiration and security code. Supposedly I got the good pop up saying "you have already scheduled a test at this time." I tried it as soon as I left the testing center, and then I tried about an hour after too. I'm just wondering if I tried it too soon. Why must the BON make us wait 48 hours?! LOL
I took the test 2/2/17 and definitely wasn't expecting to get ALL 265 QUESTIONS! After 75 questions I became super anxious then became a total stress case by question 150. I left after over 4 hours of testing in tears and feeling like a complete failure. I have been looking all over the internet about whether or not you can even pass at 265 and have found some hope here. I did the PVT yesterday and today and both times have gotten the "good pop-up" message. I want to find comfort in this but also do NOT want to get my hopes up at all. I have been an absolute nervous wreck and still have to wait a whole 24 hours more to have access to Quick Results. UGHHHHHHHHH
Was the OLAS website updated the same
day you took your exam (meaning, was the nclex portion green / "met" the same day of your exam? I tested today (Saturday at 8am) and got all 265 questions and the "good" pop up, but my OLAS is still red in the nclex box, saying "not met". (I also live in Wisco!)

I haven't taken mine yet but I'm sure it's nerve wracking to wait for results . I'm in NY so I'm not sure how Wisconsin does it's thing...but, as you know, anything run by a state board takes time and never makes sense. If you did the trick and got what I've seen called "the good pop up" please relax a little. Nursing school, exams and the NCLEX put a huge stress on us and this is the icing on the cake. Give it until later this afternoon and check again or do the trick again. In the meantime do something special for yourself...YOU MADE IT!! â¤ï¸ðŸ’™
