I wanted to give a quick update to the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) 2017. While looking for if the "trick" still worked, I didn't see much updated info, and wanted to hopefully alleviate some stress on new grads. I took NCLEX Jan 10th 2017, and got all 265 questions. I started at 8am and finished around 11am. I came home and cried my eyes out thinking I failed, because I assumed getting all the questions was a bad thing. Long story short I tried the PVT by trying to reregister for nclex at about 2pm (I told myself I was going to wait until the next day, but I just couldn't!). I used a current credit card, but put in the incorrect exp date and cvc. I got the "good popup" but wasn't convinced. The good pop up says something about you have already registered for the test blah blah and will not take your money. I tried again later in the evening, maybe around 6ish and got the same result. I was slightly more hopeful, but still not convinced. In Wisconsin we have an OLAS application website I checked also, and next to my nclex results it turned green and said met. At exactly 8am the next day I got the official email from the State of Wisconsin that I had passed, and contained my RN number. I also bought the quick results which said pass.... Soooo long story short the PVT worked for me in 2017!
Hello Mrs. Stendardo omg I took my test on 1/27 Friday I did the PV trick got the good pop up I've done it at least 4 times already within these past few days and still good pop up but unfortunately still haven't been able to see my name on breeze :,(I've heard it can take up to 4weeks at times
I took the NCLEX on 1/26 at 2 pm, in California, and did the PVT every few hours with the "good" pop up. Two days later, 1/28, my RN license was posted.
Exactly 24 hours after I finished my exam my name was listed on the BON website (Wisconsin) and I had a registered nursing license number! I actually got the email at 2:48 pm which is about 23 hours after finishing my exam. I PASSED!!!! I did the PVT one hour after testing and again the next morning and kept getting the "Good pop up". PVT stills works!
Wrote my exam yesterday at 8 am and finished at around 1100. Got home, did the PVT, and had the "good" pop-up show! Did it a few more times in the evening. Did PVT again this morning and it was still showing the good pop-up. Found out a few hours later that I PASSED!!!! PVT definitely works!
So, I wanted to add my two cents to this because I am also in Wisconsin.
I took the NCLEX-RN on 1/31. I had 136 questions, and finished the exam at 3pm. I went home and sobbed for about 8 hours (as we all do after the NCLEX) and felt like a complete failure. I got the email from Pearson Vue stating I had completed the test and blah blah blah almost as soon as I left the test center.
Once I got home, I waited until 7pm to try the PVT. I put in my CC info, with the wrong expiration date and got the "good" pop-up immediately. I too was skeptical at this point, so I waited until the 12 hour mark to try it again (yes, I woke up at 1 am to try it). Again, "good" pop-up. The next day (2/1), I waited until about noon to try the PVT again. STILL had the "good" pop-up. Wisconsin BON is usually super fast at getting your license to you, so at 3pm, exactly 24 hours after I had finished the test, I got an email saying they had issued my RN license!! I passed the exam! Whew.
Now, I will say my OLAS status did not change until after the email (NCLEX results from "not met" to "met"). So don't freak out and keep checking this. The email will come first. The PVT worked for me, but I know that it is not infallible. However, try to breathe and not worry too much or concentrate on how many questions you had etc. But if you can't breathe and are a mess, that's perfectly normal too, because that's how most of us were after the exam.
Did anybody who used this trick live in NY? I'm talking NCLEX on March 11th at 11:30am. I AM A HOT MESSY BUCKET OF NERVES!! I need to get motivated to really sit down and study. I'm doing Kaplan.
OMG!!!! I am freaking out!!! I took my test yesterday 2/1/17 at 1015 and still have not received any kind of results. When I do the PVT trick I am not allowed to pay but when I look on my quick results it says that results are still not available!!! I am so nervous!! Everyone around me is finding out at least within 24 hrs. What is taking mines so long. (Nervous Wisconsin Nurse)
Congratulations..I am also a wisconsin nurse that took my test 2/1/17. It has been 24 hours for me already I am wondering why i have no type of results!! Did I do that bad???
quick results aren't suppose to be available until 48hrs after testing. But I'm from ct and our BON takes up to a week to post our license numbers. I know the feeling the 48hrs were horrible waiting for quick results, last week to find out I passed! If your getting the good pop up I'm sure you passed! :)
