I wanted to give a quick update to the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) 2017. While looking for if the "trick" still worked, I didn't see much updated info, and wanted to hopefully alleviate some stress on new grads. I took NCLEX Jan 10th 2017, and got all 265 questions. I started at 8am and finished around 11am. I came home and cried my eyes out thinking I failed, because I assumed getting all the questions was a bad thing. Long story short I tried the PVT by trying to reregister for nclex at about 2pm (I told myself I was going to wait until the next day, but I just couldn't!). I used a current credit card, but put in the incorrect exp date and cvc. I got the "good popup" but wasn't convinced. The good pop up says something about you have already registered for the test blah blah and will not take your money. I tried again later in the evening, maybe around 6ish and got the same result. I was slightly more hopeful, but still not convinced. In Wisconsin we have an OLAS application website I checked also, and next to my nclex results it turned green and said met. At exactly 8am the next day I got the official email from the State of Wisconsin that I had passed, and contained my RN number. I also bought the quick results which said pass.... Soooo long story short the PVT worked for me in 2017!
Hi 85 Elena yes I've checked breeze and nothing there. I've also heard that takes a while to update. I know of some people who went to the Ontario location and got their results in a week. So crazy it how it differs from person to person makes you start second guessing yourself:(. I'll keep you posted as well and hopefully the good pop up is good news. Just wished CA participated in quick results
You try to reschedule another test, they say at least 24 hours after taking it but I've had classmates that did it 4 hours after and it still worked, then you have to put in your credit card info (I used a gift card with less than 200.00 balance.) You have to hit submit after entering your credit card info and then an error will pop up that says "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time". If this happens then it's suppose to mean you pass, if it tries to process your credit card then it may mean you failed.
Got my results today. I passed! i took my exam 2/11/17. Pvt worked for me. I put in wrong card name, exp date and cc # and i was able to get the good pop.
I don't know how other states board of nursing work but my name and license number was up the next day at 7:30am (time that I checked) on my states website, all i did was type in my name and I popped up. A day or two later I got an email saying I passed bards.
Hello update I got my letter by mail yesterday 2/12/17 and I PASSED!!! so roughly about 2 weeks after taking the boards and I did the PVT trick with incorrect exp date of my cc and I got the good pop up :)
