Hey all!
I wanted to give a quick update to the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) 2017. While looking for if the "trick" still worked, I didn't see much updated info, and wanted to hopefully alleviate some stress on new grads. I took NCLEX Jan 10th 2017, and got all 265 questions. I started at 8am and finished around 11am. I came home and cried my eyes out thinking I failed, because I assumed getting all the questions was a bad thing. Long story short I tried the PVT by trying to reregister for nclex at about 2pm (I told myself I was going to wait until the next day, but I just couldn't!). I used a current credit card, but put in the incorrect exp date and cvc. I got the "good popup" but wasn't convinced. The good pop up says something about you have already registered for the test blah blah and will not take your money. I tried again later in the evening, maybe around 6ish and got the same result. I was slightly more hopeful, but still not convinced. In Wisconsin we have an OLAS application website I checked also, and next to my nclex results it turned green and said met. At exactly 8am the next day I got the official email from the State of Wisconsin that I had passed, and contained my RN number. I also bought the quick results which said pass.... Soooo long story short the PVT worked for me in 2017!
my first time to take NCLEX-PN yesterday thursday and when i first tried the PVT it was "ON HOLD", but this morning when i re checked again it says: Our record indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time. Im going crazy now waiting for the official results. Hawaii BON has quick results but since it's only been 24 hours since my test i don't know what to do. looks like im going insane.. i really need this license to keep my job.. lol
Hello Everyone. I'm new to allnurses. I recently retook my exam. The first time I waited 24 hours and got the bad popup saying my card was declined. This time around I waited 24 hours, put in correct card info except changed the expiration date. I got the good popup, but have read on other discussion boards that your breeze account must have pending on the bottom left. Mine does not. Crossing my fingers that I passed.
Hello @ klorena and welcome to allnurses. Just wanted to relieve some stress from u lol but when I passed my breeze did not say anything not even pending so don't worry about that hope this helps í ½í¸Š If u got the good pop up then I'm 99.9% sure u passed :) oh and I'm in Cali idk where u r located but I'm sure it's pretty much the same anywhere
HI 85elena! Congrats on passing! Im from California also! Thanks for responding! You've made me feel a lot better! I've been checking and still good popup. Won't know until I get the official results. I saw on the BRN website they are currently working on exams from march 16-31 as of April 24 so hopefully I hear from them soon!
Hey guys, am from Minnesota. I took my nclex-RN for the first time yesterday and almost half of the test was SATA and lots of prioritization questions. The test ended at 75 questions and I came out of the testing room knowing that I failed. I tried PVT and it did not give me a good pop up. I cried all night and kept on trying and trying but nothing changed. Today around noon I checked my status on the nursing board of Mn website and it said I passed! So I am not sure if the PVT is accurate
Hello Everyone! I want to confirm that the PVT trick does work if you do it correctly. I waited 24 hours after taking my test with a current credit card info and incorrect exp date. This is my second time taking the NCLEX. On my first try I got the bad popup and I had waited 24 hours as well. I got the good popup this time. I was nervous because my breeze account did not have the pending and under the drop options on the bottom left included reapply exam and manage address. Please disregard what people say if it does not say pending that you failed. Thank you also to 85elena for giving me some peace of mind while waiting for my results. I was woken up by sister at 1 am that my license number was up on BRN website.

See this is what I don't understand about people who do the pvt. You did it twice before getting a confirmation that you completed the exam. Then you went on to do it every 2 hours 4 hours 6 hours. Ad nauseum through the next day even. All of that craziness and you still didn't know anything until you got your official results.
If people do not believe the pvt is an accurate predictor of passing the exam AEB all of these people who are chronically punching buttons on their phone to do it again and again, why does anyone do the freaking thing at all? If it's supposed to give peace of mind LOL, sure doesn't look it from these posts!
