  1. Hello nursingmom2017. When you got your results in the mail, it should have contained your Candidate Performance Report which shows your areas of weakness and strength. I would definitely recommend going back and looking. Those specific weak areas need review and questions. The first time I took my Nclex i used Kaplan but did not help me. Second time around I used Hurst. If you are weak in content areas I would definitely recommend Hurst. With Hurst, I did online so it allowed me the choice of determining how many lectures I was able to do based on my own schedule. If you need help in delegation and choosing which patient to see first I would recommend the Lacharity book. Do lots of NCLEX questions and go over the rationales. I recommend UWORLD for their NCLEX bank. Best of Luck!
  2. Since you stated you will be purchasing books to review. I would definitely recommend La Charity. It really helped me with appropriate delegation and which patient to see first. I was out of school for two years and utilized this book and Hurst Review and passed. Reviews also provide their own review materials. I would recommend a review since it has been 7 years and there are always changes and updates. Many people will tell you how they passed but it truly ranges person to person. I tried Kaplan but it was not helpful for me but beneficial for others. I recommend sitting down and determining your weaknesses and from there determine how to review and study. I was somewhat weak in certain areas of content and Hurst really helped me. Do lots of NCLEX questions. I recommend UWORLD as well. Make yourself a schedule to lay out how many hours a day per week you plan to study with specific content areas you plan to review and how many question you want to do. Good Luck Future RN!
  3. Hello Everyone! I want to confirm that the PVT trick does work if you do it correctly. I waited 24 hours after taking my test with a current credit card info and incorrect exp date. This is my second time taking the NCLEX. On my first try I got the bad popup and I had waited 24 hours as well. I got the good popup this time. I was nervous because my breeze account did not have the pending and under the drop options on the bottom left included reapply exam and manage address. Please disregard what people say if it does not say pending that you failed. Thank you also to 85elena for giving me some peace of mind while waiting for my results. I was woken up by sister at 1 am that my license number was up on BRN website.
  4. HI 85elena! Congrats on passing! Im from California also! Thanks for responding! You've made me feel a lot better! I've been checking and still good popup. Won't know until I get the official results. I saw on the BRN website they are currently working on exams from march 16-31 as of April 24 so hopefully I hear from them soon!
  5. Hello Everyone. I'm new to allnurses. I recently retook my exam. The first time I waited 24 hours and got the bad popup saying my card was declined. This time around I waited 24 hours, put in correct card info except changed the expiration date. I got the good popup, but have read on other discussion boards that your breeze account must have pending on the bottom left. Mine does not. Crossing my fingers that I passed.
