Hi Everyone,
First, I just want to thank everyone that comes to this website to share his or her experience. This website literally keeps people alive and going during some tough times. You might not know it, but there are tens of people out there that quote this website each day.
My journey with the Nclex-RN in California started on the 2th of December. I took the Nclex, I went home and tried the PVT, and it gave me the good pop-up. 24 hours and 4 days later, I was still getting the good pop-up. A week passed and no result or license, I was anxious to say the least, as some of my classmates got their license within 48 - 72 hours after taking the exam.
I always came to this website to get some courage as the weeks rolled by. Finally on 31st of December, I got my license. The long wait was over.
My main reason of writing today is that through my experience, I found out that the pearson vue trick is not a trick. It is the way the computer is programmed. If one fails the Nclex, it will take your money or decline your card accordingly (for insufficient funds or being invalid). The so called trick works perfectly.
Secondly, If you live in California, and you get the good pop-up after 24 hours of taking the Nclex, you passed. The waiting time has to do with the BRN taking so much time to process files. Keep strong and keep faith, you will get your license.
I took my NCLEX on 1/17/15... And some of my nurse friends told me to do the Pearson vue trick so I did and it worked. I also paid the 7.95 for quick results... I was kind of freaking because my two day mark was Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.. So I thought I would have to wait well I did not.. The results were there this morning. My exam shut off at 100 questions.. I am in Ohio and I passed !! The Pearson vue trick works!!
Caligirl1234 said:It's not really an expensive trick?? If you failed and were charged $200 you would have to take exam again anyway right? Also, not all of live in states where we are fortunate enough to get quick results. You can understand waiting 4-6 weeks would be a little stressful right?!
Yeah but you can't register for the exam then so you're charged $200 for nothing. You have to wait to register & pay another $200. That would be $400! If people have that kinda money to throw around then they can throw some at me.
Just passed with 75 questions this am! Found out two hours after I took it (WI is very fast) I did the pearson vue test not even an hour after and got the the credit card page. I entered the wrong security code for my cc and wrong expiration date and got the good pop up when I submitted.
I just took my NCLEX-RN this afternoon. The screen went blue at 75 (part of me was hoping it would). I tried the pearson trick 2 hours after the exam, 4 hours, and now 6 hours following the completion of my exam. All three times it denied my re-registry. I am hoping it is a good sign! I was wondering if it mattered how soon after you completed your exam does the trick work? Ill let you all know when I receive my results. PA has a great turn around time I hear!

I took my NCLEX Jan 15th. I did the Pearson Vue trick 3 hours after my exam and got the good pop up, I did it again the next day, 24 hours after I completed exam and got good pop up again. On Sat, Jan 17, I found out I passed through quick results at 9am. They say 48 business hours on their site but that was not the case, weekends do count! Also, I entered my accurate credit card number and security code, but I put the wrong expiration date and the trick worked for me! There is so many mixed posts about this trick, so I wanted to share my experience. Also, the only study prep I used was kaplan and it was all I studied for 2 weeks while working 4 days a week. I scored a 65 on my ATI predictor (it was not an exit ATI it was only for diagnostic purposes at my school). And I was getting 50s on all kaplan tests with a few 40s thrown in there too. I was so worried I wouldn't pass because I saw so many posts on here about people doing kaplan, saunders, that prioritization book, etc..... so I felt like I wasn't ready but I guess I was since I passed. I had about 100 questions.
