yes I did! I actualy graduated this May and started my new NP job in primary care on October 1st.

The process was a nightmare. I applied May 4th, and got my ATT June 5th (after TONS of calls and bothering). They said it was an issue with my transcripts, so I had to resend them multiple times-they said they never received the first one I sent. I had a friend who had her ATT within a week of applying. So frustrating.

No problem! I did feel like UConn prepared me well for the boards. I believe their pass rate is excellent too. The last year of the program absolutely flies by but hang in there!

Hello to my fellow NP students/practicing NPs. I took ANCC FNP today and passed! It was an exhilarating and exhausting experience. I frequently looked at previous posts and topics on here while studying-and I have to say it helped me to identify good study resources, but also peaked my anxiety! So I wanted to make a post of my own. 1. I was so intimidated by people that said they studied for 6 MONTHS and read review materials from cover to cover multiple times. I am here to tell you this is NOT necessary, and to not drive yourself crazy. I studied of course during this last semester of my program (UConn), but spent about 2-3 weeks intensely studying for boards. 2. Fitzgerald review was fabulous-did live review and finished accompanying online content. Her professional issues section was huge in passing ANCC. I had the Leik book too-great book for learning alot fast as it is very condensed, but not super comprehensive and with some weird errors 3. The exam is common sense-many of the answers were apparent right away. 4. I took the APEA predictor exams to ease my mind and help target my studying and highly suggest them. The exam IS PASSABLE. Do not let the horror stories of multiple failures and issues as seen in threads on here discourage you. You got this! I am happy to answer any questions as I sip my margarita and NOT STUDY ANYMORE :)

UConn arranges them if need be. They encourage you do to your own if you have connections from your RN career, but will do it for you if not.

UConn provides preceptors. They hope and recommend that you find your own via your RN connections, but at the end of the day they always come through. Pedi and OBGYN preceptors were difficult to find, but in a geri program that would be a non-issue.

update to my previous post-i passed the CEN today! beyond excited

Just sent in my application to take the CEN. SO nervous. I have a years experience in the ER, hoping that + studying like crazy is enough! so good to hear that people can actually pass this exam :)

just got my letter! i got in!

my interview went well but i havent heard yet either! they also told me late april/early may

i think it went well! pretty basic/informal. a few scary questions but mostly just why uconn/DNP/now/adult-gero kind of questions. not too bad! I find out in mid/late april or early may

i applied! to the BS-DNP adult/gero primary care. I have an interview tomorrow! Be careful though, my email from them was in my spam folder and it took me about a week to realize it.

i have an interview monday! but i think everyone gets an interview lol so not getting my hopes up yet!

I'm also trying to do the same thing! Nervous that I will only have ~6 months experience by fall (if I get accepted), but I am in the same boat as you in that I'm worried that if I don't go now, I never will. Keep us updated! I'm glad I'm not the only one worrying about this.
