Hi Everyone,
First, I just want to thank everyone that comes to this website to share his or her experience. This website literally keeps people alive and going during some tough times. You might not know it, but there are tens of people out there that quote this website each day.
My journey with the Nclex-RN in California started on the 2th of December. I took the Nclex, I went home and tried the PVT, and it gave me the good pop-up. 24 hours and 4 days later, I was still getting the good pop-up. A week passed and no result or license, I was anxious to say the least, as some of my classmates got their license within 48 - 72 hours after taking the exam.
I always came to this website to get some courage as the weeks rolled by. Finally on 31st of December, I got my license. The long wait was over.
My main reason of writing today is that through my experience, I found out that the pearson vue trick is not a trick. It is the way the computer is programmed. If one fails the Nclex, it will take your money or decline your card accordingly (for insufficient funds or being invalid). The so called trick works perfectly.
Secondly, If you live in California, and you get the good pop-up after 24 hours of taking the Nclex, you passed. The waiting time has to do with the BRN taking so much time to process files. Keep strong and keep faith, you will get your license.

Well a week later my license came in the mail!
So don't lose hope. It was my third time and I felt good going into it, but after getting all the questions 6 1/2 hours later, I was certain I tanked!
Though the statistics were against me- I studied, did hypnotherapy, meditated and tried to be of service to others.
Take care, Cheryl
So you paid the 200 again?

When you say "it showed I failed", did you actually submit your credit card payment of $200, it was ACCEPTED, you received the receipt.....yet you passed?
Or do you mean you got to the credit card submission page, thought mistakenly that this meant you had failed....and did not continue on (actually DO the 'trick')?
I suspect it's the latter, as you otherwise might have said "I did the trick 24 hours after I took my test, paid $200, but I got my license a week later in the mail".
What actually happened?
Don't have some great news. I am so bummed out. I feel very discouraged too. I took the exam this morning. I do not even know how many questions I had. under 85 for sure and above 76. As I was walking out of the exam center I did the trick and i got the good pop u... I then hit submit again for the second time and got the good pop up.. I made a 5 min phone call and went back to the internet on my phone and the page was still loaded so for the third time I hit submit but this time my payment went through...
I took the exam this afternoon( March 19th). As soon as I got home I did the trick with a invalid cc( it is a cc that the info was stole by someone, I called the bank to canceled it already, so the payment should not be able to go through with this card). After I filled out all the payment info with this invalid cc, it showed" cc is invalid". However, I filled out the payment info again with the same card, and then I got a good pop up. It said" our records indicate that you have recently scheduled for this exam, other registration cannot be made at this time". After about 6 to 8 hrs, I tried it again with the same cc, still good pop up. So anxious now, not sure pass or fail>_
