Pearson Vue trick July 2016

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my NCLEX RN today and got 75 questions. About 18 SATA, 3 exhibit, and 3 drag and drop (didn't start counting until I was on 12). I tried the pearson vue trick as soon as I got home at about 4ish. I got the good pop up, but I'm still skeptical. I tried again at 9ish and still got the good pop up. I'm in Texas, so I can get my quick results Thursday, but I am wide awake thinking, hoping, and praying.

I used my real credit card information and went all the way to the end, but when I hit submit I got the "good pop up."

Has anyone ever gotten the good pop up and failed?

Hi, I took my Nclex on monday 7/11/16, and i haven't got any news yet, can you please tell me wish one is the pearson vue trick, Im lost, I took my test thrue Florida, I had a link to get my result in 24 hours but apparently is not working 😫😫, i feel that my heart is coming out of my chest, please give me an advise and tell me what to do. Thank you.

This is my first post, and I'm going to get to the Pearson Vue Trick (which "worked" for me). That said, for people who have asked about what to study, and have spoken about what the test is like, etc., I'll give a little background.

I graduated May 2016, and used Kaplan throughout nursing school, and only used Kaplan to study for the NCLEX. I took the NCLEX on Tuesday July 12th, and passed in 75 questions. My state Board of Nursing sent an email around 10:00am today to inform me that I had passed and to issue my license number. Nice and quick.

Kaplan NCLEX Prep Scores:

Secure Predictor: 64.7%; Diagnostic: 60.6%; Question Trainer 6: 63.5%; Question Trainer 7: 60%; QBank Average: 59%. In essence, I averaged right around 60% for passing level questions according to Kaplan.

I didn't attend the in-class review session, and only listened to a few videos. I focused on doing timed questions, thinking through them, with the key being reading the rationale for correct and incorrect answers. It's good to understand why you got the question right, as well as why you got it wrong. Critical thinking, and all that.

The NCLEX: There is a short tutorial to show you examples of all the question types, and it counts against the 6 hour time limit. I took about 10 minutes to do the tutorial.

I received 75 questions, and then the screen turned blue, and I was done. I received 18 SATA out of 75 total questions (at one point, 3 in a row). I also received 2 questions where you put answer choices in a specific order. I had no other question types, so I had 55 multiple choice questions with 20 non-multiple choice questions. Remember that out of 75 questions, 15 questions are not graded as pass or fail, to be evaluated for future tests (which you aren't informed which ones are and aren't graded).

The test itself was bizarre, as I've read elsewhere. I did not feel particularly good about 50% of my answers, and for the other 50% I was only somewhat comfortable. Kaplan is definitely better than not studying and practicing, but even the questions on the NCLEX "sounded" different than Kaplan questions, which is hard to explain, but there it is.

Pearson Vue Trick

I walked out, ran some errands, and tried the Pearson Vue Trick about 1.5 hours after the test had automatically closed. I repeated it multiple times, and I always received the "good popup".

My procedure: I went to the NCLEX website, and signed up to take another NCLEX. I got to the credit card screen, and used all correct information minus the expiration date, which I changed the month. I hit submit, which takes you to another screen which tells you that hitting submit will start the transaction. I hit submit again, and got the Red Triangle with a white exclamation point inside of it, with the text "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time".

I then tried using all of the correct credit card information, with only the 3 digit security code changed by one digit. Again, I got the "good popup". This is after an hour and before 2 hours of the test ending. I tried again after 3 hours, 5, hours, and 14 hours, with just the 3 digit security code changed, and always got the "good popup".

So, as far as I can tell, it seems as if Pearson Vue did not even run the credit card, as it would have brought up some kind of error had it done so. And, I did pass the test, so I think that the trick still works. I can't guarantee it, but if you want to try it out, just change one digit from your credit card security code, and if you get the "good popup" and not an error saying it tried to charge you but couldn't...you probably passed.

Finally: I did not feel like I had definitely passed the NCLEX when the test shut down, when I walked out, and until I got my email this morning. But I didn't let myself get anxious during the test, and I didn't worry about the previous question when I moved on to the next. The key to passing the NCLEX is to get questions correct that you should be able to get correct, and then get 50% of the questions correct that you have a 50% chance of getting correct. Take each question individually. Think through it, re-read the stem and the information, eliminate bad answers, and take your time.

Took mine on 7/12, Did the PVT, 2 hours later, then 5, then 10, then 24 hours, getting the good pop up everytime. Waiting to get quick results tomorrow, is this a good sign though?

Update from my last post: the PVT worked for me AND I passed!!! (It also worked correctly for all of my friends whether they passed or failed, respectively)

Hi, i took the exam last 7/15/2016 and tried using the pearson vue trick the next day. The pop-up i received was "The payment is declined. Reason: Please contact your credit card company or use a different credit card" i tried repeating the process ang received the same pop-up. I logged off and logged in and when i tried clicking the NCLEX-RN link to put all the info again and an error message appears as "You can only schedule one exam at this time" is that considered a bad pop-up? My initial input of credit card details did not push through. Another question, before you receive a good or a bad pop up do you need to input the credit card details and hit submit? Sorry I'm a bit anxious and right now I'm loosing my mind.

Update: passed. Good pop up post 2 hours, 5, hours, 12 hours, as finally 24H.

After placing the credit card details, once you hit submit then that's the good pop up will appear right? Or is it after you hit submit order?

Can you use a prepaid card with no money on it to do the PVT?

@fruitloops yes.

I just took the NCLEX and after 80 minutes and 75 questions, the screen went blue. 35 SATA, 2 order, 1 which picture is correct, the rest were select the best answer. I feel confident I passed. The PVT pop up was good 4 hours after the test.

Hello, I came across this post and wanted to ask how long did it take Texas to update Board with your license? Did you test in the morning?

@lilmsunshine Hello! We are on the same page...took mine on 7/13...computer stopped at 105...can't remember the last Q...did the Pvt 24h later...got the good pop up three times...I used a prepaid gift card with 2 bucks in it...my husband was telling me that the system didn't even run the payment coz if it did, it should've shown "insufficient funds" or something...here's to crossing fingers and hope that Pvt does work! Good luck to us!
