  1. Hi all, I graduated FNP program in May and applied for the FNP exam with ANCC over Summer. It took 6 weeks for authorization and I had a csection and new baby shortly after so I wasn’t able to take boards before baby. Now I am juggling a newborn and cramming for this test.... my question is: how did you study and pass? What were the best resources? I used APEA while awaiting authorization but I feel in no way prepared....it’s especially hard with 3 week old baby brain/no sleep thanks in advance!
  2. Hi all, Graduating in a few months and wondering the best way to prepare & study for my FNP boards. Any and all advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance, MX

  4. Thanks, these are good reasons to reference! I know the DNP will be more time later, just don’t see the need for it at this point in my career, you know?
  5. APRN - advance practice registered nurse (licensure) MSN - master of science in nursing (degree program) DNP - doctor of nursing practice (degree program) FNP - family nurse practitioner (specialty chosen) hope this helps
  6. Hi all, Looking for some advice. My goals are to become and APRN with FNP specialty. Currently BSN prepared & working in a Surgical ICU for about 5 years. I originally started a DNP program at my school (in first semester currently) but I think I want to drop down to the MSN - FNP to make it a year or so quicker to graduation (will probably still ultimately get the DNP). My school wants a paper submitted explaining my rationale??? Thoughts? ANy and all are welcome. Thanks, MX

  8. Update from my last post: the PVT worked for me AND I passed!!! (It also worked correctly for all of my friends whether they passed or failed, respectively)
  9. omg I'm literally in the same boat as you took it yesterday m,orning as well 7/6. Crabby and anxious with 60 SATA, stopping at 75. I cannot WAIT for our quick results to be up -_-
  10. I feel like I am in the same situation.....my test was MOSTLY SATA. I graduated top of my class and felt robbed of a chance during NCLEX-RN. I only had like 15 multiple choice with like 60 SATA and it stopped at 75 yesterday. I walked out crying and haven't stopped since yesterday. The wait is agonizing. I truly believe I failed, but your post is helping me to have hope....aaaaahhhhh
  11. Did you find out your result yet? I don't know if the trick is even accurate anymore. I took mine this morning....55 SATA and also a lot of ekgs....praying we passed but I'm not getting my hopes up with the trick just yet.
  12. I took mine this morning too. Stopped at 75 Q and I had about 55 SATA......feeling worthless right now so I'm right there waiting with you
  13. ALSO I have a quick last minute question for everyone/anyone on here....do you guys have a list of meds that can be taken at night time / meds that can be taken with food / etc that they told us to make during kaplan? I had a hard time trying to figure this out. Thanks in advance if anyone can help!
  14. Thanks for the encouragement! Keeping my fingers crossed that I'm in the same boat as you we will see :)
