Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

thanks LVCNURSE,

are you from ohio?

i am just in doubt maybe with my luck the trick works everywhere exept oh??

No, I am from Washington. You Passed for sure! If you get the good pop up, you definitely passed! Don't stress yourself any longer about it. I am glad the wait is over. It was torture for 2 days. I trully thought I failed. I had only 78 questions and finished the test in 1 hour.

thanks for support!! it is almost 3pm, my status is still pending:crying2:

the PVT is still good.

i can't wait till tomorrow to find out my unofficial results

does any body know whether pvt really works? i went to the cc page and didn't get the pop up and had only about 75 questions.. i do see my name on the g bon but my license status is pending.. what does it mean? please some body let me know.. i am freaking out, i didn't find the test too hard and didn't find it easy either it seemed reasonable with a lot of priortiy questions which i had expected.... i'm thinking that i probably failed since pvt works for 99%...:((

Wait for your official results. Good luck.

Congrats to everyone who passed..I am a firm believer that this whole pearson vue re register thing works.. unfortunately for me I did not pass the Nclex. This was my first try and I put countless hours and days into studying and preparing, I knew all my labs to a T, Read an entire Nclex review book front to back and was scoring great on practice questions. I have been getting the CC page for 2 days and paid for the quick results this morning with a big fat FAIL. I hope i have better luck my next time around. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Im sorry erinrp...I dont know if I passed yet...we dont have quick results in California...have to wait until about 2am...I cant say what worked for me because I dont know if I passed yet...(I did get the good pop up)...but that is not 100% until I see it with my own eyes...anyways I think that maybe get an book on critical thinking and priorities...because you know the content well it seems. This is the hardest thing I have ever done and Im sure for you too. I had no idea all the knowledge an RN had to have. At least its not like a classroom test where if you dont pass...youre out of the program like at my school. You can retake it...did you do Kaplan?

I took the test this morning and was appalled at how extremely difficult it was. I studied a lot (working my way through a review book and used NCSBN's learningext), and somehow felt completely unprepared! My computer shut off at 75 questions and I am completely certain I failed. I guessed on almost every question and because it turned off so early, I know I failed. I have been doing the PVT all day and keep getting the good pop-up...I want it to be true so badly, but am just very hesitant to trust it based on how ucky I feel about my test.....

Hey ErinP,

I think I am reiterating what has already been suggested, but NCSBN learningext.com questions were very helpful...they are very similar to the real NCLEX questions and offer alot of priority, pharmacology and delegation questions, which I got alot of on my exam. They do offer alternate format but not alot, to better prepare for this, try doing NCLEX 4000... In another thread, an user posted a free link to download this program. I have to say their alternate format questions, including mulitple response questions were very very helpful and were very similar to the mulitple response questions I received on the exam. Besides that Saunders Comprehensive Review offer good content and simple, yet good content based questions. More than anything, keep ur positive attitude, relax because you can do it. Now you have an upper hand bc you know wat to expect!

Hope this helps!

I think everyone feels that they failed when they walk out of the testing center! As i posted before, the test cut me off at about 83 questions and I did the pearsonvue trick a few hours after testing (and almost every hour until I got my quickresults!) and got the good pop up everytime and I passed NCLEX! Good luck to you.

I took the exam July 20th.

hey guys!!

i just found out that i PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11:yeah::yeah::yeah::):):):)

I AM RN:nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse:

Yes me too...got the good pop up but when I got home I realized that I was not right about questions and now I am sick at my stomach!!:uhoh3:

Thank you for all your support and suggestions. I have already paid and re registered to take it again...I do not want to waste any time since it will be at least 45 days until i can schedule anyways. This NCSBN learning thing tht you guys have reccomended..Is this on the website or is this a book? Wish I had known about that before!!! Obviously my study tools were useless! I too had many critical thinking application type questions.
