The pearsonvue thread is well over 1000 pages and 10,000 posts long.
The original thread (part 1) is now closed. here is a continuation of the same topic (part 2) with the following links:
Part 1 (the original thread)--
Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?
Poll to take once you have received your response--
Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results
Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:
1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.
2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.
3) click 'register' on the right side.
4) click the 'credit card' link.
5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.
6) enter your username.
7) enter your password.
? click the button.
9) click 'register' on the left side.
10) select your test type.
11) click the button.
12) select your country.
13) click the button.
14) answer the yes/no questions.
15) select your country again.
16) select your state.
17) type in your city.
18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.
19) select your school.
20) select the month and year of your graduation.
21) select your board of nursing.
22) click the button.
Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick
The trick absolutely works. I took the NCLEX-PN in Cali September 21, 2010 I got a lot WAY TOO MUCH of medication and select all that apply questions back to back! Two hours later at 85 questions it shut off, yes it took me that long to complete only 85 questions because I got stuck daydreaming when I reached question 50 ( I was a nervous wreck and bored at this point from not really knowing much about the meds being asked about) and then some more in the math questions because since I am not so good in math I did the problems twice before submitting my final answer. I almost cried walking to my car after I finished, I was sure I had failed. The next day I tried the trick as all my classmates had before me and got the good pop-up, suddenly I was no longer worried and felt very cocky. Well, 11 days later I got my letter and I felt very nervous about opening it but I PASSED! Every one of my classmates that have passed have gotten the good pop-up. The only downside about trying this trick is that you're not as ecstatic when you read the words PASSED because, well, you kinda already knew you had from trying this darn trick. So, just be patient but if you have no patience like me, try it IT WORKS!
hi everyone! well, i took my nclex yesterday. i've always been a great student, studied my butt off, knew that saunders book from back to front, did i don't know how many kaplan questions....and left there feeling like i guessed on at least half of those questions. that test is difficult!i've had very, very difficult professors who's tests were absurdly difficult and who half the class failed (not me though) and now compared to nclex, those tests were a joke.
anyways, the point of the thread is to know if there is anyone in florida who has tried to do the pearson trick and it worked. i have read a ton of threads on how it does but a lot of them are in cali. some i don't know where the person is from so i wanted some peace of mind by having someone from florida tell me it worked. it didn't let me re-register so i am a tiiiiiiny bit relieved. much love to all and good luck to those also awaiting their dreaded results. :heartbeat

hi guys. i just finished taking the nclex. i want to try the pvt trick but my account still says "ready for delivery". i should wait until it says "delivery successful" to try the trick, right?
i had the minimum questions 75. i had 7-8 sata. a lot of priority and 4-5 exhibit/audio/pic. i know for a fact that i got the last question right. i did not find the exam that quite hard. is there a possibility that i failed?
thanks,
agldragonrn?
Yea, I believe you need to wait for it to say "delivery successful" to try the PVT. It shouldn't take more than a few hours for that to come up. I took the NCLEX-RN 2 weeks ago and passed with 75, and the PVT worked for me. I was surprised, but I didn't find it to be as hard as I expected either. Best of luck with your results!!! :)

because you are asking about the pvt merging with existing thread for continuity. please keep all questions on pvt in the one place
good luck
agldrago... your situation sounds just like mine! I didn't find it that difficult either.. and we had very similar types of questions! I also prepared myself very well for the exam too. I got the good pop up, but I am still waiting for my quick results to be sure :) And yes, you do have to wait for the delivery successful to do the trick!
