Did your credits from Chamberlain College of Nursing transfer to a different university?
Hello everyone! I am currently a student at Chamberlain College of Nursing attending the online RN-BSN option. I have had a great experience so far in the classes, my only concern is how expensive it is. My question is, have any one you attended this school, and then transferred your credits to a different school part way through? I would be interested in transferring to Ohio University. Thanks in advance!

Retaking Nclex 2 years after graduation?
Hey everyone. I graduated nursing school in 2008 in Michigan. I attempted taking my LPN boards twice, and failed both times. I lost my motivation to continue studying, and never took them again. Now that time has passed I am starting to regret not trying again. Does anyone know the rules as to being out of school for 3 years and wanting to re-test? Do I need to take nursing classes again? How do I apply again? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Pass NCLEX recently without Kaplan?
Hey Shannah! I just passed my boards last week. I used Saunders and Lacharity. I didn't do Kaplan, and never felt the need to spend that much cash! I would take one section in the book (Saunders) a day, or two days if it was a long/hard section. After I read the review in the book, I did the CD that came with the book and used the study mode and clicked on the portion that I studied in the book. For example, one day I read the Renal system, and then did Study mode on the CD and clicked Renal for the content. I felt this really helped me understand each section to my fullest. It is important to read the rationales EVEN if you get the answer correct. This is where a lot of learning happens. I kept track on a peace of people how many I got right out of how many questions. The week before my actual boards I studied culture, diets ( make sure to know diets for specific diseases! ) and labs. I did this last because for some reason culture just doesn't stick in my long term memory very well! Anyways, I'm glad I did that because I had a few questions on culture/religion. Those are things you never think to study! 2 weeks before my exam I just skimmed over meds. Know your basics. Don't spend too much time on them because there are 10000s of meds, and who knows what one you will get! I went about it by knowing the "tricks". Like -lol is a beta blocker, and then I knew the SE and common things that pertain to each drug category. -statin = lowers cholesterol...etc! Best of luck to you!!!

agldrago... your situation sounds just like mine! I didn't find it that difficult either.. and we had very similar types of questions! I also prepared myself very well for the exam too. I got the good pop up, but I am still waiting for my quick results to be sure :) And yes, you do have to wait for the delivery successful to do the trick!

Nclex on Saturday I am so scared and nervous and wondering if I am ready......
Just thought I would update! Finished the exam at 85 questions. It took about an hour and a half! I had sooooooooooo many SATA! I also had a lot of picture questions too.. about 5! Not hotspots, just being able to discriminate what it was. I also had a question where I had to look through files, like charting! It was a difficult test! I did the PVT and got the good pop up! Hope it works :) I'll let you know my official results when I get them. Probly Monday?
