Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

I'm in Florida and I know of at least 4 people who took the NCLEX here within the last month or so and the PVT worked for them, so...congratulations :yeah:

Thanks so much!!! I still wanna see those results but it is definitely relieving to hear! :[anb]:

SWEETEST1: Don't worry, I know a lot of people that took the test on Friday and they were able to purchase their quick result on Sunday! I also know people that found out they had passed on Saturday too, so I don't think you'll have to wait :) Good luck!!

Took my exam on the 27th in CA. Got the good pop up, but 5 days later and still not on the brn website. =( Getting nervous now. What gives? Did anyone else in CA have to wait this long?

The number of days waiting to get the official results varies for all exam takers even if they took it within the same state like CA. The statististic is in your favor. You got a good pop up so it means you passed.

Took my NCLEX-RN on Friday, Oct. 1st. Currently being tortured by the wait of my results, however I did get the "good pop up". I had to endure the whole 265 questions, and I can't believe that I got more than 3 med calc questions O_o. I walked out of there feeling not knowing how I did, then eventually feeling like I didn't pass

Really hoping this trick is what everyone says it is!!!

I took mine August 17th with the same 265 questions with all possible type of questions the computer can ask, got good pop up 3 hours after the exam and subsequently the official results on the 19th. I am now an unemployed RN. Smile, you passed it and already a RN.

Thanks =) Trying to stay calm! :uhoh3: Good luck to everyone out there. To fellow test takers: We will all be RN's one day! Woohoo! And to the brand new RN's~ CONGRATS & thank you for the support.

Just realized there's a poll on the first page to vote if PVT worked for you. Don't forget to vote! =)

The poll says it didn't work for 7 people. I wonder if that's really accurate. ? Haven't seen anyone post that PVT wasn't accurate. :coollook:

I waited that long too but 5 days later or so I saw my name on BRN website, took the same test at the same state as you did, and got the good pop up as well, rest assured that you already passed and also have faith in yourself and in Him. :)

So I'm a lurker here and I have finally decided to ask what it means when people refer to the PVT or the good pop-up?

After you take your NCLEX.... you try to reregister for your test and if it stops you with a pop up (the good pop up), it means you've passed. If it lets you go to the cc page, it means you failed.

Although some will say this is not a good indicator as to whether you passed or not... There has not been one person who has said that they have had "the good pop up" and failed, or got to the cc page and passed (and can claim they followed the instructions 100% correctly). Until that happens, I consider this method to be 100% accurate. There is a sticky called "The Pearsonvue trick part 2" read that and it will give you more information as well as the directions you need to follow EXACTLY.
